Sorry for going off topic. Last post on my bulldogs,@SomethingGoodCanWork
Good for him he has a face no one could ever be mad at, cuteness overload  And he's got exquisite tastes, no lowly pig's ears for him!

To be honest, I wish there were more dog pics on the forum though it might not be fair to the bags.

I agree it is good to have more bags to rotate so your bags don't wear out quickly. My opinion is that the first one you posted (bleu de minuite) is too close to black at least in the picture. If you want a dark navy, then perhaps the blue de minuite is good. Otherwise, I suggest a true blue. The blue obscur is pretty. Have you looked at Indigo? It appears to be quite gorgeous. There is an excellent one up now in US EB. IMO, it is just as hard to find the right blue as it is to find the right red. Good luck and let us know. And you are too funny with your chained to the stove comment (you always make me laugh:smile:).

I think most Bbags would go great with jeans. What colors are your tops?

Thank you Iamminda :hugs: I'm just trying to keep on to a sense of humour and proportion with this new obsession for bags to keep it in check. I started out thinking I'd be content with only two Bals and I'm already planning for 4-5  And there are so many sweet, smart, witty AND stylish ladies here it's hard not to be inspired :flowers:

At least with red Bals I know which kind I prefer because I've seen some irl, Rouge Vif and Lipstick Red for example. Real bright reds, leaning more towards dark red than orange.

I think I have to see the Bleu de Minuit irl and especially in bright daylight. I don't mind if it looks very dark when it's dark outside, but I would want it to look distinctively blue in daytime or I could just wear my black City. I agree with you about a true blue, maybe leaning a bit towards dark/grey. The other Bal blues with hints of purple etc are lovely but maybe not as "neutral"? I think this is the same for jeans, some dark denims are not true blues and that makes them harder to wear with many other colours. But at the same time too colour coordinated can get boring, so a bag that "breaks off" in shade a little gives a bit of edge I guess.

Girl, what a fun thread you started! LOVE everyone's comments thus far.
Big fan of the rotation concept....it definitely helps preserve all bags, but in the same breath I think you may recall i am into downsizing lately & I am not a fan of having too many bags that are going unused. I am off from work for 2 glorious weeks & my main #1 project/priority was doing the "KonMari" method after finishing Marie Kondo's book. Today was day #1 with clothes...IT IS DIFFICULT!:facepalm:Bags will be easier because I know which "spark joy" & are easy keepers.
Per your new quest for a Bal blue, may i also suggest "Officier" if you can find one....i sold mine but it was a gorgeous darker blue/navy. I also had a mid-tone blue called "Tempete" which i think is really versatile because it has grey tones in it (well, in my opinion that's how i saw the color). I'm not as familiar with the newest Bal color names for blue aside from what's been mentioned so far.
If i were to splurge & get a new Bal, I'm pretty sure I'd choose a ME with gold hardware (that darn @rx4dsoul , sweet thing that she is)made me crave one really bad this morning seeing her fab mod!
Best of luck on the blue search dearest SGCW!!:flowers::wave::happydance::hugs:
You're the sweetest Kendie :hbeat: and I'm glad you're joining in!

I was wondering how your Konmari plans were going  I think it'd be quite an experience to witness someone like you Konmariing their bag collection. It's good you already know which ones spark joy for you because I'd think you would have to be extra careful discarding considering how many valuable and holy grail bags you must have. That would make me a bit nervous about Konmariing!

Yes, all these Bal blues make my head spin a bit but I've decided I'm only going to buy one blue so I might as well put some thought behind it. I'm looking at a Caramel at the same time. My thinking is if I have a blue, a black and a caramel/cognac I've got my medium size everyday bag basics covered- and I too can finally start colour rotating bags :happydance:

The Metal Edge is a very elegant bag- with an edge :giggle: , maybe you can reward yourself with one after you finished Konmariing your other bags? Please keep us updated on the Konmari progress! I've got her books now as well (besides the audio book) and now that a few interior things I've been waiting for (putting up lamps and such) are done I'm ready to Konmari again.

Oh girl if you have the chance at a great Caramel Bal I say go for it!!! It's such an exquisite color (imho). You will know when you find the right blue for you!
Do let me know when you read Marie's books....i think she's got so much good stuff in there behind her "philosophy" & I'm going to read it again. After yesterday i feel really good about starting the clothes reduction process. Today is day 2 of it. :whut::eek:I wish I could have hired her to come be here & do it with me because she'd make the process go MUCH faster & zip on by. I have greatly reduced my Bal collection already over the last 2 plus years. I had some amazing colors but I just felt way too guilty not using them & i really felt so much better after i either passed them along to a friend or sold them to someone who loves them & is using them. I think the colors you are going for are absolutely PERFECT & would be a welcome addition to anyone's wardrobe!!! Best of luck sweet lady!! :drinks::hugs:

any space for a late-comer?

There's ALWAYS space for you ksuromax. I'm glad you're here :hugs: You and other TP:ers are hilarious in how you forget about bags you own. Wasn't there someone here or on the main forum who discovered a Chanel in her closet she'd forgotten about? How can that even happen?! But maybe considering the sizes of your collections it's not too surprising.

And yes, I think you are pretty covered by BV blues

Um, sweetest...maybe you forgot about your Outremer First because you decided to "gift it" to me since I'm its biggest admirer/fan--yes?! Tehehehehe :lol::graucho::happydance::hugs:

So I was checking out the sales at BG, Barneys etc and ran across this little beauty.
I know you said Blue, but you also mentioned your interest in caramel/cognac bags.

For jeans, this would work just as well as a dark Blue (if not better) as it adds interest. This color will also age beautifully, and eventually get that vintage Bal vibe. I'm not a fan of gold hardware but it totally works on this bag.

That's a great dark Cognac. I've missed this one completely. Thank you!
Gold looks lovely with this Cognac but I think I just like the Classic HW better. I wonder if this bag was made with Classic HW as well? I am considering an older Caramel from 2005, depending on its condition. It's a Z and it's really tempting to have an actual Z of my own, especially one in good condition. I will be getting more photos of the bag later on so keeping my Bal greedy fingers crossed

I think with the new blue colours posted above, only the darker Bleu de Minuit comes with the Classic HW.
