:hbeat::loveeyes:Holy Moly THAT is just THE sweetest pup ever!!!! My hubs desperately wants a dog (but we are waiting until we retire) & we've both come to agree that a bulldog is top of list. I will show him your sweet little lad later tonight dear BPC!! LOVE him!!

Thank you
They're the sweetest breed, but lots of health issues. He's my "first born" and gets anything he wants.. haha

I think it's great to be able to "think out loud" among other Bal lovers, newbies and experts, about the pros and cons of bags you'd like to buy or are planning to buy. And the bags you don't know if to keep or sell. Don't know if anyone is interested in doing this but I'll start.

I'm hoping to find and buy Classic City:s in red, in light brown and in blue. A blue bag is a new idea for me because until I saw all the blue Bals here, blue bags seemed a bit strict to me, more an office type bag colour. Well, the City changed my mind, but which Bal blue to choose?!

I've sort of come to the conclusion that a darker blue would be more versatile for me, because it'd go with any blue colour or any pair of jeans I'd wear. Balenciaga have what looks like a lovely dark blue City right now, the "Bleu de Minuit". I don't know if it's last season's colour or if it's new for F/W?

Anyway, I'd would love to hear about somebody else's experience with choosing and wearing blue Bals, which blue you have found most versatile/practical etc. Please don't tell me you need more than one blue, I'm trying to be minimalistic about this and stay under five Bals

Or is there some other Bal and colour you're thinking about?
I'm not familiar with the newest blues but marine, officier and indigo top my list for blues.

I think bulldog puppies are the cutest thing in the world. They make my heart melt. But then again, I also think adult bulldogs are the cutest thing in the world..lol
This is one of mine when he was about 10 weeks old.

They opened up a luxury mall right near me. It's so close I don't even need to cross a street to get there.
Gucci, Ferragamo, Burberry, Hermes, BV, Saks and a bunch of other high end stores.
It's very dangerous on my wallet, But so far, I've been good. That's definitely one of the pluses of living here, all the options.

But I'd have no problem moving to the country permanently. Just waiting for the day hubs says he's had enough of the corporate world, so we can pack up and get the hell out..lol..

I can definitely stop off either tonight, or tomorrow morning and see if Saks has it. If they do, I'll get pics.
How adorable can a puppy get?! Look at that wrinkly little face. it's made for cuddles and kisses :hugs:Is this the cutie that's grown up in to the Infamous Destroyer of Bal Tassels?

To me you have the perfect set up, a New York apartment AND a house in the countryside. But I understand about wanting to move away from a big city, we did it too. and I probably have a far too romantic view of NYC from watching New York movies and tv series.

Yep, that's the Destroyer of Tassels.
My other one is a Destroyer of Tiffany Blue Box Ribbons. :cursing:

Thank you. But I honestly do want to leave the city for good. Only still here because of my hubs.

There's an Officer city for sale on Ebay now at a very low price and there's even a "make offer" option. I'm considering it myself.
It's faded, the handles are frayed in some places, and the corners don't look too great. But the price is wonderful, and it could easily be repaired with a spa day. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Balenciaga-...100070?hash=item212646e0e6:g:r-QAAOSwfRdZD45K

So many blues, I'm going to have to go back to the Club and Reference threads again for some more inspiration. I really just want a blue Bal that goes great with denim/jeans.
I can't remember if I posted a pic of my officier Day. Got her for a good price, she's a little faded but in very good shape. Second pic is a comparison with my 08 marine. Officier mirror is on top, marine on the bottom, in strong sunlight. Tends to exaggerate the differences between the two, but to my eye officier has a bit of purple to it. But only if you compare it to the marine. Marine is a true navy IMO. Zipper tape on officier is darker than on marine, another way to tell what you have.unnamed (1).jpg unnamed (2).jpg

Aw, thanks muchstuff, that's really helpful. Having seen your pics I think I prefer the Marine actually, with denim.

Is there a significant difference between Marine and Officer? I'm considering getting the officer I posted above just to see how it compares to my Marine.

@SomethingGoodCanWork
I posted this once before but this is what I mean by tone differences. My Bleu Mineral is a gorgeous Blue, but I don't think it's a great denim bag. My Marine on the right works better with jeans. But if I'm honest, I think I prefer a blue/grey best. At least for lighter colored denim.

I'm gonna say it depends on the light. I remember you and I going around on this subject not that long ago . To my eye there is, as I said, a bit more of a hint of purple in the officier, the marine to me is a true navy. Here's a pic of the zipper tapes. I have the tags for the 08 marine so I know it is what it is. The officier I don't have tags for but the difference when you have to the two together is obvious. Marine's on the left, officier on the right. It wouldn't be fair for me to put the two bags side by side as the officier is a bit faded. That's why I used the mirrors in the previous pic. If you look at the zipper tapes you'll see the marine is a bit brighter. I think that applies to the leather colour as well, it's got a bit of a brightness to it the officier doesn't have.
