Bags you don't get

I might get shot for saying this, but I really don't care for any of the Hermes bags apart from the B, K, C and Garden Party. Even then, I don't find the B and K particularly easy to use(I own a K, thanks grandma). They are certainly made more for showing off. If they would just add a strap option to the Birkin or a slip pocket in the back to the Kelly! I'd love the Evelyn if there was a closure on the top. An open crossbody like that in Seattle is like begging to be robbed.(Plus, you know, rain). I think the Lindy is the ugliest thing I have seen.
If you’re ever tired of your Kelly, I’ll give her a VERY happy home, surrounded by other H sisters
And no, you won’t get shot by me because you don’t like other H bags. To each their own. I still enjoy company just the same as before
(I had to ask my Lindy to go make me some tea while I was reading your post, but no big deal lol It took a long while for them to grow on me as well... make it 11 years. I just checked hehehe)

You know, I tried to get rid of her last week. I just can't do it. She's just the most perfect shade of green, I don't think I could find the same look in another bag.

I'm with you there! I love the look and style of the B, K, C, and GP. The others (that don't cost as much), I am not a fan of. I wish it was the opposite lol!

The Evelyn is so close to being everything I want in a casual crossbody: Lots of different color options, structured without being rigid *and* a replaceable strap. (I like to use a lot of different straps as accessories). It just needs a bloody zipper on top of it.

:faint: :faint: :faint:
OMG!! *faints*
What year is she from?
I wouldn’t have gotten how you could have done that!!! I would have been broken hearted
I'm still an H newb, I'm not sure how to tell when it was made. Grandma had to have bought it at least ten years ago, in NYC I believe.

Have you tried getting one of those bag inserts with a zipper?
Haven't seen those for the Evie before...

I remember reading someone did that workaround with a bag insert on the ode to Evelyne thread. You'll have to read thru the last quarter of all the posts but I think that person custom ordered it from someone on Etsy.

I LOOOOVE the Neverfull. Absolutely love. I own four (three MMs, one of these being a special edition, and one GM). It's a style I wouldn't trade for any other. However, I'm probably the person on the planet who cares the least if someone else is wearing the same thing, so that's probably why I don't care about everyone else and their mother owning a Neverfull.

I don't get the hype around Chanel Classic Flaps. I mean, they're OK, classy, but they all look the same to me. I'd like to own a Jumbo and a Reissue 226 or 227 and that's it. I could never have a large collection like some women do. To be honest, I hate Chanel as a brand, so I'm biased... Their only design that I truly love is the Gabrielle. Most of their bags look ugly (TO ME, no disrespect towards anyone that loves them).
I also don't get the Kelly (please don't kill me). I find it so... whatever. I do like the Birkin, but being only top handle is a huge turn off to me. I find Hermes kinda boring overall.

I feel ya re: Classic flaps and the Kelly. I have never been a fan of flap bags because I like easy access. I love the look of the classic quilted flap, but the cost is so high... plus I'm more of a tote/shoulder bag girl. I am coming around to crossbodies though! I love the look of the Birkin too, but the hand-carry-only thing irks me a bit. They can also be quite heavy. And the Kelly looks hard to get in and out of to me :-/ At least with a B you can keep it open for easy access
