I might get axed for saying this, but I don't get the recent pearl flap from Chanel. And I love pearls and Chanel. But I don't understand why people think it is sooooooo beautiful. It looks like a craft project.
And another recent one I don't get is the absolute craze over the iridescent stuff. It reminds me of the frosty lipsticks from the 90's. The only thing I like about that collection is the faux mother-of-pearl CC detail, but I don't get why people are head over heels on it. It's pretty, but not the prettiest thing I've ever laid my eyes on. (photos are not mine)

I agree with you regarding the Chanel pearl bag. I have mild trypophobia and the pearls give me the creeps! So do some Judith Leiber bags, but not as bad as the Chanel pearl bag.
