I also didn’t get the Pandora until I saw one in person and I pretty much gasped lol! I loved it and it looked perfect on the woman wearing it.

I never understand why they display the Pandora filled like a box. No one wears it that way; the beauty of the Pandora is how it slouches on the shoulder and does not look like a box at all. If the Pandora actually looked like the stuffed box it's displayed as, I doubt many would buy it.

Exactly!! I fell in love with it when I saw it in person.

Animal print
Bags with fur or hair
Fendi Micro Peekaboo - what can fit in them? Or are they meant to be bag charms?

For Bags I like that most don't get: the Givenchy Pandora.

I could have written this post, I never liked animal prints or the calf hair textures. I know they are very popular but I just couldn't. And for some reason, the Fendi Peekaboo looks like the bag is damaged, which means I just can't seem to grasp the entire point of the bag which is the "peekaboo" aspect. I admit my failings!

As for LV, I was resistant but have grown to like it. My original complaint was how common the prints were but - here's my own contradiction - the prints that are more unique like the Tahiti, I don't like as much because they are less classic. What is wrong with me?!

The GG Gucci logo - it's funny how a logo makes a subliminal imprint on your brain. When I would look at it, I would see CG and wonder why the C. It wasn't until I remembered the CG covergirl logo that I realized I was seeing CG instead of GG, like my brain was overwriting what I was seeing.

Exactly. I chose the large and small Pandoras (instead of the more popular medium and mini sizes) for precisely this reason. They look fantastic slouchy so you have to make sure you don't even come close to filling them. I can stuff my large with every necessity imaginable and it still slouches beautifully. On light days, I put my bare necessities in the small without worrying it will take on that boxy shape you so often see with the mini. Love my Pandoras! Oh wait, this is the "bags you don't get" thread. My bad!

They also have the kooky Happy Meal bag, McDonalds fries bag, etc.
I think those are cute, but should be under $100.

Doll's Kills also had a Happy Meal collection similar to Moschino's but for under $30-40 or so (it's long sold out now). The only difference is instead of the "M" logo on the front, it's a happy face. Still very cute and at a much better price point.

And speaking of Moschino, I always liked their silicone iPhone cases, since they provide great protection for my phone against drops. But they're super bulky, heavy, huge and overpriced ($85)!! Not to mention they take up too much space in my purse, too. But they sure are cute.

ETA: Resized pictures. Sorry!

Lolololol :D :D :D

Actually you said something that's making me think twice about the Pandora mini (aside from the gold HW) - I like Pandora because of the slouchy shape. I'm afraid it will be hard to make the mini slouch. I have the small and the medium.

Anything Moschino. Their target must be 13 year old girls with huge disposable allowances because no adult would wear anything from that brand.

Seriously, $700 for an ugly nylon pony backpack? What am I missing?View attachment 3933781

Well, Moschino is all about provocation, exaggeration and over the last years also 'recycling' famous logos etc. in cooperation with some other brands  (such as Barbie, Super Mario, My Little Pony)... Many of these items really look a bit to much / like costumes, but I must say I quite like this new 'pony line':girlsigh: When I was in Venice some months ago, their pastel 'pony window shop' made me run into the Moschino shop  (didn't get anything yet, because the T-shirt I was eyeing was too big for me, but I might get something from this collection, hehe, I think it's cute).

Hi ladies, I have been mostly on the Coach Vintage and Rehab threads since I found tPF. I am exploring around and found this thread *waves hi*. As someone who really enjoys vintage Coach circa 80s and 90s, I thought I didn’t *get* some luxury brand designs because my style is the understated Coach look from back when I couldn’t afford them lol. And now I see that many of you who do enjoy the premium lines will find bags you don’t get either!
I appreciate the tone here of simply expressing likes and dislikes. And I don’t expect anyone to climb on board with my love of well tanned leather that could be used to make baseball gloves.
I could never get on board with LV painted canvas. Think of Joan Cussack from “Working Girl” when she picks up a sweater or dress or something of Sigourney Weaver’s and sees the the outrageous price and cries out something like “It’s not even leathah!” Lol that is me and painted canvas.
Interestingly enough, someone recently posted on a Coach thread they decided on a vintage Coach Court bag over a LV Pouchette Metis.

A brand I used to not get at all, sometimes get now, but often still don't: Vera Bradley. They all looked horrible to me in the past - so loud and garish. Actually most of them still do to me, but then I found some prints that I actually liked. But it's kind of like a guilty pleasure - it's all based on nostalgia - the prints reminded me of other things in my life, and maybe I should not be wearing that as a bag, but....it was too tempting and I gave in and got them.

Adding to the nostalgia/comfort factor is how nice and soft they feel (the older ones, their quality has seriously gone down) - like carrying around a quilt, the no need to worry about them too much since they are washable, sturdy, light, comfy, and when they wear out, well, it's just a fabric bag anyway. The amazing thick pockets are great for staying organized. You can find them at greatly reduced prices on ebay (I'd never pay full price for these bags). It's a comfort bag - in the practical sense as well as a psychological sense. For me, bags are not only for enhancing an outfit - I really get an emotional/psychological vibe out of carrying them! And that's why I've got my different collections - the funky vintage/thrift ones, the conservative ones, the artsy ones, etc.

I have yet to see if I can make all of the prints I have work as outfits - I definitely had to sell a bunch. But my style is not upscale chic - it's kind of quirky/boho - so when I'm in the mood, I carry my comfort bag with it's nostalgic print - like the equivalent of comfy and fun sneakers, if not the most chic thing in the world. The larger bags can be awesome for work as well, as I basically need to carry an organized office in my bag. Now with all of that said, I still really struggle to find outfits with which to wear these bags....many times, yes, a leather bag would look better. Then I think - shouldn't I get rid of all of these bags? But then I look in my closet and see all of those nostalgic patterns....and I can't do it, lol :-) Now, as for the Vera Bradley leather collection - I really love the handbags I have from that. Not sure how wear and tear will be as they are very soft, but it's comfort and leather all wrapped up in one. Again, maybe not super chic and trendy, but definitely practical and in classic shapes.
