I was in Paris and was told by a sale that only 1 Bs or 1Ks per year, while the other sale said every six months. What's ridiculous is that the sale even emphasizied 1Bs, or 1Ks, or 1 Lindys or 1 constance. Other TPFers mentioned that you could ask your family member to buy for you, when I did that, (me and my husband were toghether, we didn't sepearate and pretend we didn't know each other), the sale said couples is counted as 1!!! It really took me by surprise, I asked her if this is a new rule, and she said firmly the rule has been in place for 2 years. Guess I just had bad luck to run into a bad sale on my last day.

It's the same here in the U.S.

How about in France? It's true couples is counted as one? so you should divide with your spouse next time and asked different sale so that they wouldn't know you are together? Thanks.

If you blatantly deceive a boutique and they find out, you're asking to be cut out of all future b and k sales.

Just sayin'.

I imagine not all couples stay together. Hypothetically: a man walks into H who was married but now separated or possibly divorced. What is it to H what the marriage status is any of any customer? That's the first bubble that floated across my brain. The second is the rule is not set in cement and no, I have not bought a closet of b's or k's in 6 months nor do I need/want to.

That's interesting. My SA called just the other day and offered me another B, after just buying one a month earlier. A month before that I bought a Lindy. She's also on the hunt for a Kelly for me. This appears to be another weird rule that can be broken.....

I was just talking to my SA and she told me Hermes had come up with some new rules, again.

Firstly, from now exotic kelly pochette and kelly cut will be counted into the 2 birkin/kelly quota, so buying a crocodile kelly pochette means you can only purchase one b or k for the year, instead of two.

Secondly, one person are now restricted to purchase only three or less bags in the same style. For example, you can only purchase not more than three garden parties in one year.

There are other rules that my SA said she couldn't even remember. What do you ladies and gents think about these? And please share with us about other new rules you might have heard of.

Someone I know came back from Paris recently and I am told that the policy is now 1 b/k/l per passport. She came back with 1 b & 1 k cos she had her bf with her so it's not true that a couple is counted as one. I think it boils down to if they want to sell the bag to you or not.
