Bag Insults - Ever Had One?

People who think they have the right to comment on my bags will only get a cold hard stare, it gets so awkward for the commenter, that they usually turn on their heels and just walk away.

But the best comeback was when I had to endure yet another, " I would never spend that kind of money on a bag" - to which I replied, "judging by what you're carrying, I'd say you're right!"

Shuts them up everytime!

Well I don't know if this is considered an insult or not but lately I've been bothered by my MIL's comments about bags, etc....she likes designer stuff but was saying in one of our conversations that she wouldn't spend too much on a bag (like she'd rather spend them on jewelry, or other things that hold up in value more) in a very 'preaching' tone...sort of like silently making me get the hidden meaning in what she was saying. She was even at this point where she was saying "I don't like Chanel bags, etc it's not my taste blah blah blah" fully knowing that I DO like Chanel bags, etc. I just kept silent.

Just yesterday though, she was carrying a black medium/jumbo flap bag and was prancing in front of me with it. So what happened to your dislike for Chanel? I feel like she bought that bag just to hit a nerve or something lol. Well, my mind was flicking my well-manicured middle finger at her as she was doing that lol.

Yup got a few bag insults for sure! LOL.

One example I can think of: Brought my brand new Black 32 Kelly with GHW into a Coach Outlet store (wanted to buy some coats for my family--I love their outerwear) and while cashing out, the clerk made a comment about how only their premier customers go into the store to buy bags not other accessories. She then glanced down at my Kelly, scoffed and rolled her eyes. I was so shocked! First off, this is an OUTLET store for goodness sakes! It's not even an actual real Coach store! Secondly, they have premier and non-premier customers who go to a Coach Outlet store!? Third, coats are not accessories! They are clothes! and buying $600 worth of them is not such small change is it? and Finally, my Hermes bag was worth 40 times their average bag at $200 a pop (don't get me wrong, I still have my Coach bags from way back when and I still love each one) but come on, you work at a designer purse store, spend some time researching other brands before you look at my precious Kelly bag like it was made of poo! LOL... oh well. ya can't please everybody!

i usually carry lv but one day i carried my botkier for target hobo and my guy friend asked me what it was and why i was carrying it and then told me how ghetto it was
i never carried it again and subsequently ebayed it off after a few months of it sitting in my closet

yeh the good ol..."omg cant believe u paid xxxx for that bag (i dont really go around telling people the price a lot)..when my fake one looks exactly the same" ..firstly i can tell that it doesnt have any similar resemblence!

I know this isn't always meant in a mean spirit, but it annoys me when people ask if my bag is my Mom's. What are you getting at? Are you implying it looks "too mature" for me? Or that it's too expensive for me?

I've also received the "I would never spend that much money on a bag." And how is this information supposed to be useful to me unless you're implying I'm stupid?
