Bag Insults - Ever Had One?

One of the worst insult, which I think he meant half jokingly was from my DH.
We had a day worker helping us out on a Saturday with some extra yard work, when my husband paid him at the end of the day, the worker whipped out his LV wallet (don't know real or fake) to put away the cash. After we dropped him off, DH turned to me and said, "why would you want to carry a brand that even the day workers carry?" I rolled my eyes and said nothing.

That was a while ago, now that he makes jokes about interns and receipts at his office carrying on about their "China made, irregular, reject LV's"

At least he knows, his wife carrys no fake because she (which is me) is not faker!

the other day DH just looked at my Denim Neo Cabby and said, "is that a new LV?" I said, "no, it is just 'new to you.'"

My mom was under 3rd degree by one of her clients, the client asked her "Is your bag real?" and my mom said "No it is imaginary, you are seeing things".

Hilarious! I'll have to use that when I get the chance.

The only time I judge people for their bags is when they are so obviously fake! So many of my old friends have cruddy imitation, uneven LVs..yet they look down on me for paying the $$ for a real one :(

:D
I don't have the balls to say anything like that.

BTW about the LVs and the fakes, I can no longer tell them apart. I've seen some real LV that looked fake and some fake that looked real, so I no longer have an opinion. Same for other brands. I'm not even looking at other bags unless I fall in love with a weird shape or color. I gave away my speedy as a gift to my ballsy mom, because I was feeling ppl judging when I carried it. I will never carry something that is easily recognizable again.

ITA! And the same goes for recent Gucci. I was in the Gucci boutique a few weeks ago and there was so much uneven stitching and globs along the joined seams (where they use the plastic/rubber glue to hold the unfinished edges together), it was like the stuff was made by children at summer camp.

I forgot about it, but when my friend and me went shopping in NYC about a month ago, she got yelled at by someone on Prince St.

We were walking towards the Miu Miu boutique, and there were crowds of people trying to sell their rap CDs. I hate people getting in my face. We politely told one man to back off, and no we don't want his CD. He slaps my friends LV Speedy (she got it that day!) with his CD and barks, "What degree do you have?" Implying my friend was just a "dumb rich girl" because she was carrying an LV, which she is not. That was the first expensive purse she's ever bought!

I don't need to explain my purchases to someone on the street or inform them of the college I'm attending, but I wish I or my friend had said something incredibly snarky back at him. Instead we just moved on.
