^^ I think the return policy is 14 days, but in the case of a fake it would be anytime (I hope). I would wonder what would happen if the bag was used, then later found out to be fake. WHat would be the procedure then?
^All good questions, I hope the rep. will be willing to be clear about their stance as a company, if it's not already clearly detailed somewhere on their site that I've missed.

I mean I "personally" look at a return due to "I don't like it" is much different (and might be subject to re-stocking fees?) than "It's a fake bag and I don't want a fake".

Hello,

I am happy to answer all questions!

In regard to our general return policy, if you're referring to rental items, you have two business days from the date of receipt to have the item in return transit (this means UPS has scanned the return label barcode) to be eligible for a full refund, regardless of the reason.

If a rental item is returned before the term is up (let's say you rent it for a month but send it back after two weeks), please let Customer Service know and we will calculate and issue a pro-rated store credit.

If you're referencing a Private Sale purchase, the general return policy is 14 days from the date of receipt for store credit. We do not issue credit card refunds for Private Sale returns.

Now, if something is WRONG with the item (damaged, defective, etc.) or if something went wrong due to AVELLE, we of course will make an exception. We handle most scenarios on a case-by-case basis. We will do whatever makes sense for that particular customer and that particular scenario; we will do whatever will make the customer the most satisfied.

In regard to inauthentic items, if a customer claims they received a "fake" item, we typically ask them to return it here to our Seattle office. It is then inspected by myself, our VP of Operations, and our VP of Merchandising. We sometimes use outside resources as necessary. Once the item is deemed authentic, we notify the customer and it is up to her if she wants us to send it back or if she wants to simply return it and purchase something else.

We would never charge a customer for verifying authenticity. If the customer thinks it's not real we take it seriously and authenticate it and then follow the procedure I outlined above.

As the Customer Service Manager, it is my job to ensure that every customer, current or potential, has a positive experience and I work closely with any customers who have any issues to make sure they're resolved in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of said customer.

I truly hope I've answered everyone's questions and concerns. Please don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything I else I can do for you.

Thank you,

Erin

Thanks Erin,

I've sent a good number of bags to BBOS & have purchased several a well. I have had occasion to call customer service & it has been exemplary. Thank you.

I didn't think that all their bags were fake, this is the only one that I myself spotted BUT it will make me think once, twice and again as to weather I'd buy from them. That's what I was saying to those who were so offended that I thought it was INSANE that this bag was posted FOR SALE by a site that does 100% handbag business and is all about authenticity!!! I think the employee who posted the listing should be INSPECTED as it took me 2 seconds to KNOW this bag was FAKE!!!

^^ The thing is they authenticate a lot of bags. Would you be able to spot a fake Louis Vuitton mirror copy if you only know about Coach? There should be employees that are specific experts on each brand. Perhaps someone not familiar with Coach authenticated this bag, and look what happened.

They deleted it but it doesnt surprise me. The people they have working there wouldnt know a real one if it it had teeth and bit them in the nose. I sent authentic new with tags bags to them and they rejected them stating they may be fakes. I sent them a pretty heated letter. I DONT buy fakes and had all the receipts and tags to prove authenticity. they are a big fat joke. Not to mention the outrageous prices for used bags and the lowball offers they give you that are offensive.

I purchased a Prada tote from the sale and it was definitely not authentic. There were glue marks on the inside, no white date tags, an incorrect authenticity tag, the stitching didn't match the same bag sold at Neiman Marcus, etc. I called and chatted w/customer service and they gave me the whole 'oh, it's authentic' spiel and didn't even care that it might not be. I'm now skeptical about all of thier private sale items. I sold them my authenitic Gucci so have a ton of credit that's I'm afraid to use. Definitely BEWARE.

They do sell some of their rental items on BBOS. I purchased a Tory Burch tote from them and it included the little card that says 'We hope you like this Avelle item, please return in when you're done..."

Look how long the handles are, and kate spade never manufactured a chocolate version of their bags. http://www.bagborroworsteal.com/han...e/24135/3165/1269633&posRow=5&posCol=2&page=2

I notified kate spade through their link where you can report fakes and knock offs. I purchased a Burberry purse a few months ago through bbosprivatesale.com that is definitely a fake, but they said if I returned it, I would only get store credit. Didn't feel like it was worth the hassle to quibble, but I reported it to Burberry.

All designers have some way you can report fakes and knock-offs for sale. If they don't have a specific link or form you can fill out, just call and ask to be transferred to their legal department.

How about this for another fake Coach (either fake or miscategorized):
http://www.bagborroworsteal.com/han.../24753/3165/1269605&posRow=23&posCol=2&page=1

"Coach Leather Flap Hobo Handbag
SKU# 24753
Classically designed and meticulously crafted, Coach has set an iconic standard for American luxury since 1941.

Color: Black
Color - Lining: Tan
Hardware: Silver
Closure: Zipper"

The buckle on that says "Michael Kors" I believe. I have no idea if it's authentic Michael Kors or not, but it's definitely not Coach! ;)
