Tried to find out more information about the ring above - where it was purchased (cartier boutique or department store, not a specific location) and how much it was. I was polite in the message, seller comes back with

'You became too personal now...."

What? Too personal? I'm prepared to spend a lot of money here, I want to do my research! Surely it's reasonable to ask these kinds of questions for high value items? Lord knows I always get asked the same when I sell and I never hesitate to answer. Shady seller has put me right off, thought it seemed too good to be true.

The ring pictured looks authentic.
The listing ended. Did you buy it?

This is not authentic. Neither vintage or newer Elsa hearts look like this. Its good that the seller is accepting the return. A good reputable seller will pay return shipping for a misrepresented item but they are not required to unfortunately. You could always leave appropriate feedback.
Thank you so much. The seller opened a case to cancel the sale and refunded the purchase price and original shipping. It only cost a few dollars to send it back since it is so small, so I am good with that.

Since I am on the hunt for an open heart pendant, I jumped on this one almost as soon as it was listed and am waiting for it to arrive. It looks at least plausible, the seller accepts returns and has 100% positive feedback. Is there enough information in the listing for you to provide an opinion on authenticity? I can post additional photos when it arrives.

I decided not to bid in the last minute because I found the seller to be quite rude when they did communicate otherwise they just refused to answer simple questions and acted evasive. I can't see why someone would let that ring sell for so little though? it's worth more in scrap value probably. Weird.

The seller has a negative feedback for trying to cancel a transaction that 'sold cheaply'. If she does the same with this ring, hope she is more polite when she relists it. It's a beautiful ring, BTW.

The seller said she got it from her father who got it from a business partner. How can she be sure it is real?

seller responded regarding the engraving saying that since it was purchased from the Middle East, Cartier engravings differ based on location - this doesn't sound right to me though? Trying to compare it to my mothers bracelet purchased at cartier in Heathrow and of authentic ones here from all over the world...nothing matches this ebay one

I am in the Middle East and can assure you that Cartier is the same everywhere in the world. Stay far away from this seller! :nono:
