Good luck with the case, I hope it work out for you. You should be okay. Paypal should force the refund. If the value is over $250.00, make sure when you send it back that you get a signature as well as a Delivery Confirmation tracking number.

Hi ladies -

This is my first time posting in this forum so thanks in advance for your help! I took a flyer on an eBay BIN for a Tiffany Open Heart pendant at a low price from a seller who has mostly feedback as a buyer for the last two years. It was possible they were cleaning out their jewelry box or something.

Tiffany & Co Elsa Peretti Large Open Heart Charm Pendant Sterling Silver T&Co
Seller: danaellis1965
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321095122512

I received the item quickly and it it does not appear to be authentic. The groove on the front of the heart is unpolished and rough and the engraving on the back seems cockeyed. I contacted the seller and asked for a refund of my payment and shipping. I also offered to return the item at the seller's expense.

The seller responded saying "Hi; I'm sorry you are not satisfied with the item; it is authentic, but an older version" and told me to return it for a refund. I want to make clear to the seller if it is not authentic and put them on notice that they should not relist it. I also want to request a refund of both sets of shipping fees if the item is counterfeit and they want me to return it.

I've attached photos of the front showing the unfinished groove and the back showing the engraving. Important to note if not clear from the photo that the "T" is larger than the "iffany" and drops lower than the rest of the word rather than being taller.

Sorry for the long post - again, thank you in advance for your input on this.

This is not authentic. Neither vintage or newer Elsa hearts look like this. Its good that the seller is accepting the return. A good reputable seller will pay return shipping for a misrepresented item but they are not required to unfortunately. You could always leave appropriate feedback.

hey Sadie!
I made an offer on this Tiffany ring:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171015445030&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:AU:1123
does it look authentic? the stamp T&C? and seller states 100% authenticity guaranteed?
thank u in advance!!!

Some observations: 1) The T&C mark. None of my Tiffany & Co. items has that marking. 2) I've never heard of Tiffany selling 14k pieces. 3) If that's gold, why isn't there a dark blue suede box. With all these red flags, I highly doubt its authenticity.

you are now authenticating here? while none of my tiffany have such marking and either way i would not dare authenticating anything based on my knowledge or my collection, as far as i know tiffany made 14K items and presence or not presence of a correct box would not make the item authentic or not. so lets leave authentication bit to Sadie! :-) i do hope she replies as my offer was accepted and i need to know its if tiffany or not before i pay. thanks!

I am very sorry to say, this is not authentic. There are many red flags to me, not just one thing that sticks out. I hope you can cancel the sale, if possible. It is a nice ring, but not a Tiffany & Co ring.

thanks a lot! i thought it was too good to be true and it was! i will email the seller and see what happens, i am sure he would prefer to cancel it to avoid any claims! :-) thank you so much for your time and knowledge!!! thank god for u and your willingness to do this for nothing! i really appreciate it!

All three look OK to me.
Just a few notes: please double check the weight of the two cuffs, it seems a bit off as my cuff size 18 weighs 24gm.
And just out of curiosity, I would ask from where the last seller is getting all the bracelets: she seems to have sold a lot.:smile1:

Thank you very much. Interesting to know about the weight difference.

About the last seller, I have the same question too. Seems like she/he focuses on Cartier Love and has sold many of them.
