Hi Flung, it's not really possible to tell from those photos, I notice from the questions from buyers listed lower down the listing the seller is not being very helpful about closer pics, maybe ask for receipt? Also I've not known this particular item come in a velvet box. Sorry I can't be more help.:girlsigh:

boo. I did ask her for pictures of the clasp and her response was that it was too blurry. I didn't think silver came in a velvet box either. I also checked the website and there is no large size like she said hers is. Only small and medium. Oh well. Thanks for the help.

Hi there, just looked at hubbys which are def genuine as we bought them from the Gucci store on Bond St, the fasteners have a 'serial' number on them in a kind of box, this is a star shape followed by 1697 AR, then there is a '925' stamp in an oval shape, hope this makes sense, then the 'serial number (the star then 1697 AR) is repeated on the reverse of the tags with the '925' stamp.

The only part that has Gucci on it is the front, which reads an 'R' in a circle, 'Gucci' on a second line then 'made in Italy.

I can try to do some pics if it helps

Thank you much for the reply! I'm positive now that what I got was a fake. The construction of the bag it came in tells all! Luckily I didn't pay close to retail price for it ;)

Did they even make this style of Tiffany's necklace? I don't see it anywhere on the site. Also, what was the original retail value (ballpark) if it was indeed produced and now currently discontinued?

Can someone tell me if this is an authentic Tiffany necklace? The auction says i is yellow gold, appraised at $900. I saw a couple on ebay that sold for about $350 but the engraving was different.

As far as I know, there are no authorized retailers of T&Co. products on the web- only Tiffany.com. You can sometimes find authentic (pre-owned) items on Signedpieces.com or Portero.com, although that's usually not the sterling stuff. If you want authentic Tiffany sterling, buy it from Tiffany's directly.
