hi all,

just curious if anybody bought their watches from this online site called watchesonnet? Do they sell real stuff? I was eyeing a watch but wanted to know from anybody out there. thanks for any help.

I have a question.. so if someone wereto buy an item that claimed it was authentic and it wasn't and they paid w/ paypal would paypal cover it if you detested to them that you were sold a replica and eBay has a no replica tolerance policy? thanks!

Well the auction ended and i refrained from buying lol - i have come to the conclusion that i will drive to the closest Tiffany and get a real one myself - no use in putting $200 towards an item that is used and could beat my brains out trying to think if it was real or not - when i could spend the extra 150+ to get the real deal brand new and put my mind at ease :) thanks all!

I think your very wise, Paypal would find in your favour if the item was sold as authentic but turned out to be fake, but not only does this take quite a long time but my experience was that the seller had spent the money in the few days it took to receive the item and file a claim, so I only got about 30% back as that was all that was still in their account, never did get the rest, it's a lot of hassle and stress. Remember to post pics when you've got your lovely new necklace

I found this bracelet in the parking lot of a grocery store in an upscale area. It's supposed to be a Tiffany. The pictures I took aren't that great, so I will describe it first.
The heart has a stamp that says tiffany & co. 925 at the top. It says tiffany and co on the toggle. There is an indentation on the inside of the toggle where the clasp goes.
The links look to be saudered (sp) together and not pinched. The silver is less white and shiny than fake ones I have seen
I read on an ebay guide that tiffany won't authenticate this if I take it down there and ask them. But the guide also said that you can tell if it's real silver by holding a lighter to it and seeing if it will warp the metal. if it doesn't, and just tarnishes and you can easily wipe it off, it's supposed to be real

After reading all those guides though, I'm still sort of confused
Can anyone help?

From what I can see it looks ok, can you measure the length of it and have a look at the 'Tiffany & Co 925' stamp on the heart, is it perfect? If you could get a clear close up of the stamp we can probably clear this one up for you. This is mine, is the top line the same?

can you ladies take a look at this? i have the infinity necklace and want this bracelet... thanks in advance!!

Hi, I'm not that familiar with Tiffany pearls, so you might want to wait for another opinion, however I've just noticed that it is silver but stamped 950....shouldn't this be '925'? Might need to clarify with the seller about that as I think 950 is refering to platinum. HTH

Cola- the one on the left really looks like a fake to me. I used to sell Michelle's at Nordstrom, so I am pretty familiar with them.

There might be a small, small possibility that it is an older model.. I sold them from 2005 on... I am not sure if that particular model went through any changes in the style.....

There are other ways you can get a Michele at a discount... I would steer clear from ebay. Overstock has some discontinued models. I would buy from watch-click.com before I would buy from ebay. If you can find a local store to discount a watch, Nordstrom does have a price matching policy. We used to discount watches all the time to meet competitor's prices.

Hello Ladies I am new to the Jewelry Forum, I usually hang out in the Coach room but I have just started loving Tiffany. Well, I tried to buy someTiiffany earrings on Ebay and got screwed. Hi - Last week I purchased some silver Gucci dog tags on eBay for $70. After receiving them I decided to look up "how to spot fakes" and have a feeling these might be.

They are the .925 tags. This is the e-bay listing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300201696587&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=020

There is no Gucci logo on the chain connectors, nor is there a serial number engraved on the item, but I'm unsure if the real deal do either. They say "(R) GUCCI made in italy" on the front and "925" on the back.

It came with a little authenticity tag with the serial number 311 4219B - a quick Google search shows a number of auctions/sites tauting that serial number.

Regardless, the item appears to be real silver and looks great - If I end up really liking these I'll just go to the Gucci website and buy the real deal for $300.

Any input?

Hi there, just looked at hubbys which are def genuine as we bought them from the Gucci store on Bond St, the fasteners have a 'serial' number on them in a kind of box, this is a star shape followed by 1697 AR, then there is a '925' stamp in an oval shape, hope this makes sense, then the 'serial number (the star then 1697 AR) is repeated on the reverse of the tags with the '925' stamp.

The only part that has Gucci on it is the front, which reads an 'R' in a circle, 'Gucci' on a second line then 'made in Italy.

I can try to do some pics if it helps
