Comments: After reading the Keyfob thread I started to wonder about some keychains I recently purchased on Ebay. I think I got scammed & they are FAKES :( :( NEVER would I have thought people would make fake keychains!!! It came with that fake 2 piece box :( What makes me think it IS for sure fake is it is VERY light weight, it doesn't have the TINY hangtag like the ones I purchased from Coach and it says Coach alot of times on each charm back. This is the 1st of 2 keychains I bought that I think are fakes.

The part displayed is real, thought it was sold with a gold ring and round disc that hung off with it. I'll have to go through my pictures to show you what I mean.

just realized this is the 2nd 1 I bought from this seller and I think both are fakes :( She does have 100% feedback though! So if they ARE in fact fake maybe she won't want to tarnish her "good" name/feedback and will return my money!

Thanks in advance!

Can't control my love of patchwork! :sigh: AND am again breaking my "no posting after midnight" rule, but wanted an opinion on these two before I BIN them!

Comments: That BIN price seems a little too good to be true!

Thanks, everyone!

Both pieces look fine authenticity-wise.

This listing confuses me. The pictures show an authentic bag but I don't know why the seller is showing the "same bag" via a link to another selling site in the description. (That BTW is an ebay no-no.) At first, I thought both listings were the same bag but in fact, they are different bags with different pattern placements.

I think the seller is simply trying to show what a "great deal" you're getting by buying from him/her.

That's the impression I had too - I'm going to go ahead and get this one, because this item is bar far the best shape I've seen on a pre-owned bag of this style.

I'm not particularly bothered by the suede dirt - I have the same issues with a pink patch swingpack I have (which I have to keep a constant watch on!) - whoever decided to put SUEDE in the patches was INSANE, IMHO. The emery board trick I read here works like a charm - also suede cleaner is good for stubborn items.

Thanks so much, BB!
You're welcome. Good luck. I agree that the price seems very fair.

The bag is authentic but before doing business with this seller, you should check out her Toolhaus. There have been numerous complaints of items not being accurately described.

Thank you BeenBurned! I also uploaded the actual photos of the bag for your verification. The ebay photos uploaded by the seller is not very clear, so I thought I should upload actual photos particularly the creed. Can you please have a look again. My concern is that the stitching of creed (bottom right) is not flawless. Also, there's a light peeling at the top opening of the bag. Thanks. :smile1:
The bag is authentic but I have a couple of comments.

The stitching on the creed is fine and normal. There will always be some over-stitching as backtacking is necessary to secure it and keep it from unraveling.

The peeling at the top of the bag is an undisclosed problem. Although the bag does appear to be NWT, that peeling should have been pictured and described. I don't know whether that's typical with patent leather or if it'll get worse.

Another minor error (?) on the seller's part is an incorrect serial number. Since she supposedly copied the entire serial number onto the listing, she should have copied it with the F at the beginning of the style number. (It is visible in the pictures, but having copied, it should have been copied fully and correctly.) The F is important to mention since it indicates that the bag came from the outlet and some buyers don't prefer outlet items.

Again, the bag is authentic but whether you can live with the peeling leather is something you have to decide.

Here's one I'm not so sure of. I'm deathly afraid of purchasing off eBay, and this one is kind of questionable to me. I'm no expert, but the C's don't really appear to line up too well on the bottom of this bag.

Comments:

What do you guys think? I'm pretty hung up on a Carly handbag or a Heritage satchel, but the satchel is getting harder and harder to find in the colors I want.

Thanks in advance!
The bag is fine and the Cs don't always match on the bottom seams.

Note that this bag is a pouch and is rather small. Draw the dimensions on a piece of paper or make a template so you know whether it's large enough to meet your needs.

I'm sorry but you did get scammed. And she probably doesn't care about her "good name" because she'll just open another ID to continue ripping off buyers. Regarding her 100% feedback, if I were her buyer, I'd "fix" that!!

Seller delight907 sells fakes and ONLY fakes. Colors, patterns, styles, construction are all cheap and wrong.

But regarding lozenge hangtags and Coach being engraved on the backs of charms, some authentic items have them and some don't. What you often find is that the more "Coach" is marked on something, often the more likely it is to be fake.

The leather dog fob is authentic although it's missing its keyring and snaphead charm that originally came with it. The style number is 92183.

Here is a picture of the original fob.

Member id bellachique is another seller who wouldn't know an authentic keychain if it bit her.

Tell these sellers that you want full refunds (including shipping) and leave appropriate feedback. If the seller refuses, file SNAD.

Fake keychains are flooding ebay and ebay is doing little to stop it.

could someone take a look at this for me. i think it looks good but i am no sabrina expert and craigslist makes me super nervous.

http://columbus.craigslist.org/clo/2097929038.html
The bag in the pictures appears to be authentic.

The problem with CL is that you cannot be sure that the pictures in the listing are the actual item the seller is selling.

Too many Craigslist sellers steal pictures from other sellers' listings.

But if you are going to be meeting in person and can examine the bag, take pictures from the listing and compare to verify that the item you are receiving is the same one.

Edited to add the following:
I checked ebay to see if I could find the source of the pictures. In fact, it appears that the CL seller is also selling the same bag on ebay.

I know one is a vintage and the other one is an older style and in pretty bad shape but i just wanted to know if both were authentic ... thank you!

What is the serial number on the leather bag? Does it begin with a T? If so, there's a problem. Please wait for other opinions on that one.

As for the other bag, it's authentic but not vintage. It was made in 2004.
