I found my first vintage bag at St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop. A black station bag. It is in wonderful conditiion and I had it authenticated at a Coach retail store. Paid $20 for it!
item: Coach 41985 Madison Brown Op Art Slim Envelope Wallet

I bought this a month ago to go with a brand new bag I bought for myself. After seeing all the fakes on here, I'm wondering if I can get some help. I have a really good camera with me, and can take better pictures if need be. I'm worried about the horse carriage attachment on the front of the wallet. Thanks in advance for your help.
I agree, I don't like it for some of the same reasons as you Hyacinth. The font doesn't look right to me, and the "A" looks like it's lower on top than the other letters. More opinions are needed but I'm not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from that listing. The Carriage wheels don't look right either.
A straight-on photo of the front of the wallet would help but my instincts are saying "fake".
I'm not feeling comfortable about the stitching in the lower right corner of the picture above.

Stephie, I see that the listing shows that it came with paperwork in the pockets. Do you still have those cards and if so, would you please post pictures of both sides of them?
Also, regarding the plaque, are you able to stick your finger nail under and lift it? (Fakes are sometimes attached with prongs that go through the leather and pull out fairly easily, sort of like staples.)
It's authentic but I'm no help with cleaning suggestions.
The bag is real but I don't think you are going to be able to do anything with the pebbled leather damage.
I can slide my nail under the carriage, but not under the part that says Coach. It came with a white canvas dust bag with red letters on it.
The cards are as follows:

The cards are veeeeeerrry interesting, but not in a good way.
(Sigh) Or maybe my eyes just ain't what they used to be.

The name and address card is different than one in a walllet I have. Some of the text placement is different. The reverse side of that card isn't blank on my item. (Is that what your eyes aren't seeing, Hyacinth?)You want me to link larger photos for you? I can. Please let me know. I'll be happy to put up whatever I can.
Also, I bought a small leather cosmetics bag, Coach, a couple years ago. I have no links to it because I bought a couple years ago. It was used when I bought it. I'm just wondering what the correct procedure is to posting pics of it to see if it's authentic.
Sonoma Zip Pouch (not sure on accurate name) looks good, I'd wait for another opinion though before validating.
