Hello...
I have a bag that I have been a little unsure of lately. It is what I am finding to be a Hamptons Pink Signature handbag. I got it last year at this time, but here is a link to a current listing on e-bay for the same purse, mine looks exactly like this. There is something I am questioning I guess...does anything stick out? Are you familiar with this style? Please excuse if these are stupid questions, I am a novice still :-)

The bag in that listing looks fine but in order to give you a definitive answer, we need to see pictures of your actual bag.

Please post pictures of the front, back, interior and a clear picture of the creed. If we need more after seeing those pics, we'll let you know what we need.

Thank you. I did figure as much but don't have pics right now and not a lot of time to take decent ones. I was mostly worried about the seam towards the bottom...how the C's are kinda cut off on either side? Mine is the same way and I was afraid that was bad, but maybe it is just the way that particular bag is made. I will definitely post pics of my actual bag as soon as I can. Thank you for your help!!!

You're welcome.

None that are very helpful or very accurate or up-to-date. And just like purses, writing one that explains all the mistakes counterfeiters make would only help the fakers make more believable fakes. Sometimes comparing a suspected fake to a known genuine one is the only way to tell the difference.

The best thing is to buy from known and trusted sellers, and to NOT base a buying decision on which keychain has the "best" price. Buying on impulse or in the last few minutes of an auction can also lead to expensive mistakes. Take your time and ask here before buying. Or spend several years and several thousand dollars collecting photos, catalogs and genuine keychains.

There are no shortcuts or easy Rules to use.

That's my problem, unfortunately. I'm an impulse buyer. It's not about the price so much as it's about whether I like it and "must have it." I've spent as little as $20 on an item, and as much as $3000 on an item (was a Louis, and worth every penny, lol). I just don't have a filter when it comes to baubles and things. If I have the money to spend, and something appeals to me, I go for it. I just want to get smarter when I do that.

Just went for a pre owned bag, my first red purse ever. Don't know why I like this one so much, but I want to get it checked out by you ladies first:

item: Gorgeous Coach Chili Red Carly Leather Bag EUC 10615
item number: 170579341835
item link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170579341835&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

This is for me, not resale. I actually only resell items if I don't like them as much as when I first "had to have" them, lol.

That's what the fakers count on. Spending 10 or 20 minutes to check, compare and reseach an item takes away some of the "thrill of the hunt" but can save you a lot of money and aggravation in the long run. You have to develop a mindset that believes everything is fake until proven otherwise rather than just the opposite. And the more you look around Ebay (and other sites), the more you start to realize just how many fakes there really are.

It looks fine. Seller should show all sides of bag and pull out the creed to photo it.

Oh believe me, you lovely ladies are turning me into a died in the wool investigator. I don't want to be wasting my money on fakes. Defeats the whole point of the brand.

Just want to make note that I greatly appreciate all the fantastic input and advice you all have been giving me. I'm enjoying Coach College. ;)

Ditto for me! :yahoo: You ladies can't be praised enough for sharing all your knowledge! I can't even imagine how many of us would be ripped off if it weren't for tPF!

There aren't any red flags but we need to see a picture of the creed.

Stephie, please include the seller ID in your posts. I've added it here. (See above) This information is helpful in future searches for items and/or seller IDs.

I am so hoping you guys authenticate this! I have the swingpack and would love, love, love to match with this set! I contacted the seller because I was confused by the pics - 2 of the bag and 2 of the matching wristlet - she said BOTH were included and that she was changing the listing ASAP!

(Here is the convo - Dear kimb731, I am a little confused - is the matching wristlet included? The last two pictures are of a wristlet, not the bag.
- hendrick_girl

Dear hendrick_girl, Yes, I need to correct that in the listing. The wristlet is included! Thanks for asking!
- kimb731)

If you guys green light this as real, that BIN of $140 is incredible and I'm jumping on it, BEFORE she changes the listing!

Item: COACH Multicolor Patchwork Purse ***NWT***
Item:220711103497
Seller: kimb731

Keeping my fingers crossed - the pics look like the one I have (I'm sentimental about that one, it was my 1st coach ever!), but no creed pics. I would love to add 2 more items in my quest for the entire matching set!

:yahoo: I'm on pins and needles waiting (praying) for a good answer!
