It looks ok.

You're usually pretty safe with most of the pebbled leather styles. I've seen fakes of some of the classic pebbled styles like Sheridans from the early to mid 1990s but the newer pebbled styles from the Chelsea and other lines from the mid and late 2000s didn't seem to get faked much. It was a lot easier and a lot more profitable for the crooks to rip off the hottest Signature styles of that time period like Carlys and Signature Stripe bags.

If you find what you think is shill bidding, you could probably ask at the Ebay Forum, you'll find the link on tPF's main forum page. But my suggestion would be to ask here about the bag's authenticity (always a good idea anyway) AND also ask if there are any signs of shill bidding. We have authenticators here who can smell shilling a mile away.

Hard to say for sure with just one photo. But what bothers me - the dog-leash clip especially the part that's not in the photo, the two rings one on each side of the bag, the leather tab and what looks like an extra ring on the zipper pull. It doesn't look like anything I'm familiar with.

More pictures are needed to determine authenticity of the wristlet in the listing, but I just wanted to comment on the rings on the side and the leather tab and ring on the zipper pull that Hyacinth mentioned. Some large wristlets have rings on the side and a ring on the zipper pull so that you can attach the dogleash clip either to the zipper pull to use like a traditional wristlet or attach it to the ring on the side and use it like a small handheld purse.

For example, here are pictures of my Carly wristlet with the clip attached both ways.

I had no idea fakes could be so convincing. I am planning to purchase a Sabrina, so (for my knowledge), how do you know this listing is fake? Did coach ever make this pattern in a Sabrina?

This was an easy one because the bag didn't come in a tattersall pattern.

Comments: I am looking for some Coach Leather Sabrinas, to help my mom replace some lost in a flood. Since some of these are older, harder to find items, I am searching through eBay. My question for the request is both these listings are for "Patent Leather Sabrina Black) - the #2 bag is the one that looks like the original. the other listing appears to show a different strap (chain) - is it possible that Coach offered two different versions of the same handbag (strap)? It seems odd to me that Coach would re-issue a color in a different style. Are they both legit?

Also, is there a list anywhere of Sabrina's, and their model numbers/colors? If I could get specific Creed numbers, it would help my search. I am not buying to re-sell, they are to keep - and do not mind purchasing a pre-owned in decent condition since they were bags she used often.

#1 - Needs a closeup picture of the creed. Please post the additional pictures if you receive them.

#2 - Authentic.

The original Patent Sabrina had the chain strap. They later released a less expensive patent Sabrina without the chain strap. The chain strap version and the non-chain strap version had colors that were specific to the versions.

The style numbers for the chain strap Patent Sabrina are 12957 for the small/medium size and 12948 for the large. Black was one of the colors that had the chain strap.

The patent Sabrina in the second listing is style 14178, the small/medium size. The color is Graphite (not black). The large non-chain strap patent Sabrina is style 14179.

There was also an Patent Sabrina in Antique Gold that is style 15385. This one did not have a chain strap.

OK, I see what you mean. The few wristlets I'm familiar with are all smaller sizes and none of them have those details. I'd still like to see a clear photo of the entire dog-leash clip of the wristlet that was originally asked about.

The first one looks good but note that it's missing the flower charm. Seller only mentions the hangtag in the description.

For the second one, I'm not comfortable with that listing. The creed and the hangtag pictures are so nice and clear and the picture of the bag is very blurry. I'm not sure that the seller uses her own pictures.

thank you for the clarification. I thought the rings on the sides were for that purpose, but I didn't remember seeing that little leather tab before. You have it tucked in for the second picture, but the first looks just like the one in the listing, so maybe it was authentic, and I missed out.

I saw that listing for the black Legacy bag that described it as vachetta leather. I think the seller got the names mixed up. The 2006 and 2007 Legacy bags use vegetable-tanned leather.

True vachetta is undyed and untreated leather.

Thanks for the clarification. That is what I originally thought. I had a Coach wallet with vachetta leather on the inside and it hard to keep new looking. It darkens with age, and if you get a spot on it you can't clean it, because any liquid will stain it.
