1. More pictures and closer pictures are needed.
2. No red flags but a picture of the creed is needed
3. Fake.
On item #1, I got more information from the seller. It does have a Coach stamp on the lower right corner of the checkbook. So that seems right. However, I asked her to measure the length of the largest word "Coach" written in the pattern on her wallet. She replied that it was 11 cm (about 4.25 inches). I have a small leah with the same print and the largest word Coach on mine is about 8 cm (3.25 inches). I am doubtful that Coach would use a fabric with a larger print on a smaller item, like the wallet, than on the larger item like my purse. What do you think? Is this a red flag, or do think this is possible or likely? I am pretty sure this is the first time I have seen a wallet in this fabric because I have been looking for something to match my leah for a long time, and all the wallets I've seen have been the reverse print in satin (black background). Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
Sorry I forgot to multiquote: the original post was # #16538

thank you for the clarification. I thought the rings on the sides were for that purpose, but I didn't remember seeing that little leather tab before. You have it tucked in for the second picture, but the first looks just like the one in the listing, so maybe it was authentic, and I missed out.

Thanks for the clarification. That is what I originally thought. I had a Coach wallet with vachetta leather on the inside and it hard to keep new looking. It darkens with age, and if you get a spot on it you can't clean it, because any liquid will stain it.

You're welcome!

How does this one look? (my daughter is interested in her first Coach!)

I have asked the seller for a picture of the creed.

Thank you!
It looks good.

It doesn't appear to have a creed but that's not a problem. Many of Coach's smaller items (and this pouch is one of them) might or might not have creeds and if they have creeds, they might or might not have a serial number.

Did Coach ever made the Sig Stripe Tote #11098 with a Legacy Stripe lining? Two of the listed bags, both Khaki, have the stripes and the others have just a solid lining. Would they have put that lining only in the Khaki? The creeds in the striped lining bags indicate they were made 3 or 4 months before the solid-color lining bags.

ETA - Never mind, found a post that seems to explain it:

since there was a wristlet posted I just wanted to ask if they were faked? To me it doesn't make sense to fake something that can be bought for so cheap to begin with?? I'm looking for wristlets at the moment so I wanted to check if they were faked and if I should be authenticating them before bidding?

Wristlets are faked too. If they think there's money to be made, they'll fake anything.

It's always a good idea to ask before bididng just to be safe.

Yes, wristlets have been faked. And counterfeiters don't care if the genuine item sells for an already low price, it just means that it costs them even less to make the fakes.

Genuine wristlets currently sell from $48 to well over $100. Those numbers still make fakes profitable with very little effort by the fakers since they seldom even bother to get the trim, fabric pattern and alignment, or the hardware right.

It's really hard to explain and it's just something that takes practice. It involves looking through sellers' current and completed auction listings, bidding patterns and sometimes looking at feedback.

It's fine although ideally, there should be a picture of the creed. (If you're wondering about shilling, it's not happening in this listing.)
I did not think there was shill bidding on this particular post, but more of what to be wary of. Thanks!

#1 - Needs a closeup picture of the creed. Please post the additional pictures if you receive them.

#2 - Authentic.

The original Patent Sabrina had the chain strap. They later released a less expensive patent Sabrina without the chain strap. The chain strap version and the non-chain strap version had colors that were specific to the versions.

The style numbers for the chain strap Patent Sabrina are 12957 for the small/medium size and 12948 for the large. Black was one of the colors that had the chain strap.

The patent Sabrina in the second listing is style 14178, the small/medium size. The color is Graphite (not black). The large non-chain strap patent Sabrina is style 14179.

There was also an Patent Sabrina in Antique Gold that is style 15385. This one did not have a chain strap.

Thank you for the wealth of information! My head is truly spinning with so many fake or "not 100% accurate". I had absolutely no idea Coach was faked by so many, and so well. I can tell the obvious poor fakes online, but would not have thought there would be many on eBay. IMO, that is risky, right? If you are selling a fake and guaranteeing authenticity, wouldn't that be a problem? Can't those people be exposed and reported?
