Good morning! Can this bag please be authenticated? Thank you!
Item: Vtg 90s Coach Casino Black Leather
Seller and site where listed: Daisy Roots Vintage on Etsy
Link: etsy.com/listing/1354457478/vtg-90s-coach-casino-black-leather

Comments: Is this bag black or Coach’s navy? The color of the hang tag is bluer than the bag (although I know this could be a replacement), but might tbis bag be Coach’s navy? I did compare it a black Dinky and Slim Duffle and it looks a little blue compared to those.
ShopDaisyRoots doesn't show the full creed with serial number so it can't be authenticated as shown. I don't recommend the bag unless you get a picture.

I just received this bag. I took a photo of the creed and it’s attached here.

I'm sorry but I'm seeing exactly what I was afraid of. What I saw in the picture of the partial creed shown in the listing looked off to me which I why I recommended against the bag without a picture.

Unfortunately, the bag is fake. You should open a dispute and return it.

If you need to give a reason for the return or refund, Search tPF's forum pages for "coach serial D2J ", we discussed that always-fake serial number several times just in the last 2 weeks. There are 2 pages of links to posts here and especially in the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List and why it's always fake.

Here is just one of the many posts:

And here's what the Daria48 Fakes List says in its list of always-fake serial numbers and prefixes:

"D2J- serial number prefixes whenever they're part of a creed stamp that says the bag was made in the US. That code sequence was ONLY used for bags made in a Chinese plant, never an American one. And ALL serial prefixes with J as the third digit and a "Made in the US" creed need to be carefully authenticated, since the "J" plant in the US originally made only clothing items."

"Since 1999 the J plant was ONLY used by a Chinese plant and should NEVER be found in any bags with creeds saying they were made in the USA."

Interested in both of these.

First is a Pocket purse on Etsy that I’m pretty sure is good to go, but you guys identified one of her previous Coach items as fake so I want to double check.

POCKET 9877
Item: Pocket purse 9877 in Bone
Listing # I don’t see this on Etsy?
Seller: Azaliashop
Site: Etsy
Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1209695752/
Comments: Looks more white than a lot of bags that I’ve seen in Bone, and I prefer this shade so I’m hoping this works out. The seller seems helpful, item looks good to me but I’m also not on your level of detective skills. One of the seller’s previous items came back as fake when I searched this page, but that shouldn’t turn me off of all of her items, right? No E5C-9755, so 04/95 in C? Where is C?

REGINA 9833
Item: Vintage Coach USA Made Regina 9983 Ivory White Leather Small Crossbody Bag
Listing #266166955736
Seller: jaginoles (different on Poshmark)
Site: eBay Poshmark
Comments: Cute bag, great condition, weirdly bad photo of creed. I’m asking vendors for clearer pics of that. Also a little odd to see the same item on two different platforms, but hustlas gotta hustle. No J6C-9883, wondering what that stands for. My best guess is 09/96, but again no idea where C is?

Thank you for offering your expertise to the world, this makes shopping for vintage bags so much less scary since most won’t accept returns.

The first one is fine but. Style number is 9755 which is a pocket purse. (You put 9877 in your post. Typo?) The bag was made in May 1995.

The Regina on ebay is authentic and was made in 1996.

The C plant was a US plant.

I recommend you read the Salearea guides for information on creeds, serial numbers and other info about Coach:

Hello,

Just bought a couple bags online (both briefcases), I’m pretty confident they’re authentic but just want to be certain. One of them was those too good to be true prices so that would be the one I’m more weary of but if it turns out to be fake I’m not gonna be devastated of course.

When I google the style number I see a lot of “NILET” next to the name of the bag not sure what that means.

the second and more expensive is here:
