My first try, I hope I won't mess this up.

Item: Coach Binocular
Listing number: Not found
Site: Etsy link
Seller: vintagecoach4less

Comments: Found the catalog section (thanks sallellen) and this bag caught my eye on a 90s one, the color burgundy was available at the time and I searched for one, found this purple instead in Etsy. Not sure the condition being dyed is worth that much, but more important is it real? Seller has a lot of good ratings, but everyone makes mistakes and I do not want my first vintage buy to be one. Thank you for your time and help.

Thank you @Hyacinth for the authentication and the catalog color chart. I often wonder how Coach determined what color names to assign to their bags. Many are so similar in color or shade.

That's just one reason why I won't try to guess colors on vintage bags just from a few photos. The tan and brown shades especially can be almost impossible to tell apart especially if they haven't been washed or conditioned. And colors can look very different on a computer or camera than they do to the human eye.

Would you please authenticate this adorable little guy I received from a family member? It's about 3.5" x 2.5"
Thank you

Comments: Hello and good evening. I would like to see if you could help in authenticating. I am also particularly curious about the hang tag. I’ve encountered several hang tags now that only have the Coach print on one side and suede on the other. Was this intentional by Coach? Or have the hang tags lost their other side?
Thank you again
Dora

Poshmark seems to be having server problems so authentication may have to wait a while.

As for hangtags, Coach has made several different configurations, and the fakes makers have copied most, if not all of them. So please don't EVER try to figure out authenticity from whatever form the hangtag happens to take, they should never be used that way. Many older bags no longer have the original hangtags anyway.

Thank you! It's kinda beat up, but I dig it. Why does the creed not say 9890? I keep trying to look up style numbers and some I just can't find to save my life

Read the six Salearea Coach Guides, the link is pinned to the top of every Authenticate This Coach thread that has an index. Read the Daria48 Fake Numbers list that's part of the same thread too. One of the reasons I wrote the Guides was so we don't have to answer the same questions over and over and over again, all the answers are in one place. The first 13 posts are mostly background and the links probably aren't working.

Some of Poshmark's photos don't open for me. If you can copy the largest available version of the creed and serial number photo(s) from the listing that clearly show the serial number and add it to this post using "REPLY", I'll take another look. Thanks.

Thank you very much!

Genuine Crescent Bag, and probably made in the late 1980s.

And just a bit more on hangtags - many forum members here and elsewhere have spent a lot of time trying to figure them out and assign dates to certain configurations. But as I said, even if the details are correct for a certain time period, you can almost never be completely sure that the tag is original to that exact bag, and some of the fakes are pretty close.

With parts that are easily changeable or removeable, we've learned to not depend on them when figuring out authenticity. There are dozens if not hundreds of posts here at tPF in the Vintage Photos thread, and some of the experts there are much more experienced and qualified to give opinions on hangtags and all their variations than I. If you're still interested in those details when you receive the bag, you can try asking at the Vintage Photos And Chat thread in the main Coach forum, Coach Clubhouse sub-forum:
