Thank you BB - I don't know how to search for a seller but here's the link to her selling page https://www.mercari.com/u/221806811/.

Re refund - my US family member ('FM') orders all my poshmark/mercari items to his home as I can't make an account from outside the US. My FM submitted a refund request but it went to the Mercari team who informed the seller to confirm her return address, which was granted, so FM will ship the fake mess back. No direct contact with the seller as far as I know. Shame as I would've liked to have confronted her and hear what she had to say.

Please see pics below how ridiculously different/fake the bag that arrived was from the casino! Whew, that top handle, base and zip compartment! It also had a thicker strap.

Haha, FM (who knows nothing about Coach) had opened and examined the authentic navy Casino just before unboxing this one and said 'oh wow nice, there's a zip compartment in this one', thinking it was a newer, improved version of the Casino!:sad: It definitely stings but I'm determined to one day finally get my black casino.

Definitely fake with an invalid serial number.

Any time you see those parallel wrinkles that look like really bad stretch marks or what I call "elephant skin", that's a red flag and any bag with those stretch marks all over the bag or in areas where the leather shouldn't be getting stretched out, you should NEVER buy it unless you have it authenticated here first. I believe that happens when the fakes makers or leather suppliers overstretch the hides to try and make the leather as soft and flexible as Coach's original full-grain leathers. It can cause serious and obvious visible damage to the leather.

The only place a genuine Coach leather bag should ever develop stretch marks are in places where the leather is actually STRETCHED, such as the bottom corners or base of a bag that's heavily loaded. They may also develop wrinkles along the inside or even outside crease of the front flap from being opened or closed, but NEVER in unstressed parts of the bag and never all over it like this one. That's probably the worst case of stretch marks on a fake that I've ever seen, and I've seen dozens of them.

There's a list of frequently-used fake Coach serial numbers posted in the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List that's toward the end of the six Salearea Guides thread, that always-fake number "M4N-4154" is on the list. It starts here:

I strongly recommend reading that entire thread from the beginning. The first 14 posts are just background and the links in them don't work or are out of date, but the Salearea Guides just by themselves have a lot of good information and are kept current by us adding update posts onto the end of the thread.

It's a genuine Carousel Bag made in late 1994. All the details including the codes and fonts included in the serial number are exactly correct for that style, and there are several construction details that the fakes makers never get right but which are 100 percent correct on this one. I think the color is Bottle Green.

I bought the JES crossbody bag last January from an Instagram reseller. I live outside the US and I can’t travel so I had to rely on resellers. I bought this last January. Please help to verify the authenticity. Thank you very much!

I had a feeling it was fake when I received it - (the leather is not what I expected, has a dustbag)but I doubted myself cos it’s been awhile since I bought a Coach bag.

I used it recently and for some reason I checked the creed and please see for yourself

I contacted the seller and she said it's not a fake, it's just a limited edition of the bag.

Apparently the listing was removed but I found your post requesting authentication.

This was your request for authentication of a listing from Mercari seller Charlene Andrews:

(Does anyone know how to search for a seller on Mercari?)

I'm sorry you were the victim of a bait and switcher! It looks like she's also on Poshmark although there are a lot of members there with the same name.

Beware of sellers named Charlene Andrews.

Have you already received your refund? What was the seller's excuse when confronted and caught doing a bait and switch?

Thank you Hyacinth for your note and I will get to reading the SaleArea guides for more knowledge. I did have the purse authenticated here but unfortunately what happened was the seller pulled a bait and switch on me. She had listed photos of a genuine black casino bag, which you kindly authenticated for me in the post below - the first bag. However, she actually sent the fake bag above, which I knew to be fake when I saw the shape and the serial number as I knew it should at least end in 9924 as soon as I saw it unboxed and we immediately returned it.

1- Genuine Casino Bag, Mercari, from 1997

2- the Ebay listing can't be authenticated until we know what's actually being sold and see the actual photo. The seller's title and description both give the serial number as L6D-9924. But the photo even though it's hard to read looks to me like J4D-9924. You need to ask the seller for clarification of the number and a clear, readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number of the actual bag in that listing.

That's the only bag in that style in the seller's Current or Completed listings, so she can't have mixed up the photos with a similar bag.

3- Genuine, from Mercari. Made in 1994

Star Wars fan here! I cant tell you if it’s authentic or not, I’ll leave that to our experts, but I did see the Star Wars collab in the outlets last jan, so maybe this is a creed mix up?

It's not a creed mix up. The bag is fake. (In the past, we'd seen a non-Disney bag with a Disney creed. That was fake too.)

Instagram is dangerous as there's no oversight to vet sellers and items. Many buyers don't have convenient access to stores and have to buy online, but it's much safer to buy from a site to which you can report fakes and have recourse in the event of a dispute.

Additionally, the Philippines seems to have an unusually high number of fakes and many of the fakes are close. rubypurple, insist on a refund. coachbagoutlet_ph sells fakes and lots of them!

ETA: Here's a comparison of creeds from coachbagoutlet_ph vs. a creed from an authentic version of the same style.

Good morning,
This is the city bag I sold recently, there is no problems with the sale. Just realized I didn't get it authenticated at time of purchase last summer. I didn't see any red flags, but please kindly authenticate it so I will know for sure the result.
measurement: 11"*7.5"*3.5", maxium strap drop : 21"
Thanks.

It's fine.

Please authenticate this Coach bag if you have a chance.
Forgive me if I dont do this correctly. I am technically challenged. I was hoping to get 2 coach bags authenticated. Here is the first.
The serial # is F1120-F17567
It seems to be patent leather and fabric. It has a band of studs around the lower third. The inside tag is hard to see because of a shine on it. I found both at goodwill.
