Please authenticate this Coach bag if you have a chance.
Forgive me if I dont do this correctly. I am technically challenged. I was hoping to get 2 coach bags authenticated. Here is the first.
The serial # is F1120-F17567
It seems to be patent leather and fabric. It has a band of studs around the lower third. The inside tag is hard to see because of a shine on it. I found both at goodwill.
Oh and measurements are 13" wide and 9 1/2" tall
It looks fine.

I've just come across a bag on Etsy with the J8Y prefix! How do we get it taken down?

ETA: just looked through their shop and she sells mostly vintage coach. Might be worth checking if they sell any fakes?
Etsy hardly ever removes fakes, or even listings that violate their Rules regarding the age of items they allow on the site. All we can do is try. The seller will probably just relist it.

There's a Report link on Etsy listing pages, you have to scroll down a bit to find it. Report counterfeits as "prohibited".

ETA - I just looked quickly at 2 more of her "Coaches". I have serious concerns about a Navy 9965 "Trail Bag" but I'd have to see more photos to be sure. The other bag, another Rambler's Legacy in red, didn't even include a creed photo.

I would use a lot of caution buying from Etsy seller " trunkofjewels " unless she includes or supplies better photos of the known highly faked details for the bags she's selling. They're not being properly authenticated.
trunkofjewels has been mentioned here in the past.

In this post, trunkofjewels sold a fake to another reseller who was flipping it. (Sellers who sell as much Coach as this one shouldn't have let this one slip through!)

More fakes previously discussed:

I haven't even looked at her current listings but I have little doubt there are many fakes among them.

ETA: I just looked at one of the current listings, another J8Y fake:

Hello would you please Authenticate this bag that I purchased at the Flea Market? It measures about 8.5" x 10.5" x 3. Thank you

It was made in 1994, so it isn't from before style numbers were used. That is why the style number is in the creed, as well as the month, year and factory codes. For earlier bags, Coach didn't match the zipper to the leather. All zippers were either black or navy. I can't remember which year they changed, but when they changed, they phased it in gradually, using up the old zippers first. After they switched the inside pocket zippers changed from metal to nylon.
That's good to know! I recently saw a burgundy bag with what looked like a green zipper, but that could be due to the seller playing with the color. It definitely did NOT match the bag it was in.
