I'm sorry but the first picture was all that (in this case) is necessary to know that the bag is fake. S is never a valid code for a month.

Did you buy the bag online? If so, please post a link. I hope you can get a refund.

BeenBurned, I've been burned huhu. Yes bought it from eBay. Huhu.

Here it is...http://www.ebay.ca/itm/301575335283...l?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=301575335283&_rdc=1

Thank you by the way... Huhu

Here's a link giving info on filing a dispute.
Bought a fake? PLEASE READ HERE!

The seller, vandak5757 does have a 14-day return policy but with her policy, buyer pays return shipping.

In the case of a fake, you shouldn't be out any money and the seller should either cover return shipping (if she wants it back) or allow you to destroy and dispose of the fake bag since she can't resell it anywhere.

BTW, vandak5757 also seems to have a "favorite" bidder:

And so here is another bag that i have bought. It is still on transit. Stupid me didnt ask for a pic of the creed but inwas thinking the creed will not show serial numbers anymore? Anyway, here is the listing. Hoping still this is authentic.. Thanks again.

We can't be 100 percent sure of authenticity without a creed photo, but I don't see any obvious problems.

And full-size bags classified as handbags rather than accessories only stopped having serial numbers less than a year ago. The Penny you bought was introduced almost 3 years ago and should have a serial number.
I have a comment on the condition of the bag vs. the seller's description of the condition.

Although the pictures clearly show a lot of ink, her description states:
"THIS ITEM IS PRE-OWNED IN GOOD CONDITION. CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT. A COUPLE OF SPOTS ON THE INSIDE (SEE PICTURES) AND CORNER SLIGHTLY DARKENED FROM USE. NO ABUSE."

Seriousy? Clean? A couple of spots? No abuse?

BeenBurned, I sent an email to the seller regarding the authenticity and will wait for her response. I think i am willing to let this one go and just leave her a negative feedback (worst case) and give the bag to my 5 year old niece. Regarding the favorite bidder, i didnt notice that. Actually i didnt bother to look. *sigh*

BeenBurned, yeah i caught that "couple of spots" vs the actual picture of the lining witj blotches of ink but chose to ignore cause i really wanted the bag. I just thought the exterior looks fine and i can live with that. Seems i dont have any luck buying stuff on ebay..hehee. thanks for all your help, i really appreciate it.

I purchased this bag at a local thrift store. Is it authentic? I'm a bit confused by the serial number as it has no dash. I remember Hyacinth telling someone on here the other day that sometimes the machine stamping the bags would make an error and stamp another number instead of the dash -- is this another instance of that? The bag measures 9.5 inches long, 6.5 inches high and 2.5 inches deep.

It's authentic. The stamper made an error in leaving out the dash. It's a compartment bag spectator 6850.

Is the thrift store near a high end shopping- like, I live in Niceville Florida (where Dustin Lynch was hit in the face). Destin is a 10 minute drive, which has some very high end shopping. There are some thrift stores out there that I would like to check out just because of the money people have and some of the clothing I've seen floating around the Goodwill.

The thrift store is nowhere near high-end shopping! Ironically, when I frequent thrift stores in more upscale neighborhoods I have very little luck finding anything decent; if I do, it's overpriced.

I love Destin Commons! My husband and I used to love in Fort Walton Beach, and I would drag him to Destin all the time to go shopping.

I grew up in Fort Walton!

I don't consider thrift stores high end shopping either, but you know those ladies in Destin buy new wardrobes and purses every season and either have a yard sale or just donate to Goodwill.

Hyacinth, I guess i will have to wait when the package arrives. Just crossing my fingers i will have luck this time. If the bag is okay, i will have to to tackle the rehab!

Be sure to check with the Rehab Ladies on the best way of getting rid of that red ink splotch, you don't want it to bleed onto the leather like has happened sometimes when the entire bag gets dunked before all the ink that can be removed, has been.

Thank you! This had me baffled. Trying to apply what I've read in your guides and didn't quite know what to make of the extra indentations! Greatly appreciate it! :smile1:

You're welcome. The Guides cover a lot of subjects and can be confusing if you don't have years of experience with Coaches from different time periods. Don't hesitate to ask whenever you have a question.

Someone gave me this bag and I've never carried it. Wanted to post it on an online garage sale but don't want to sell a fake. Can someone authenticate for me?
