  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Was comparing these two bags and noticed that one stamping looks different than the other for the same month, year, plant, and style number. Is this ok?

The only difference between them is that one has "overstamping lines" (marks from the stamping process), and those are caused by how much pressure is put on the stamping mechanism. The fonts and other details of the two serial numbers are exactly the same.

I'm sorry but the first picture was all that (in this case) is necessary to know that the bag is fake. S is never a valid code for a month.

Did you buy the bag online? If so, please post a link. I hope you can get a refund.

Thank you! This had me baffled. Trying to apply what I've read in your guides and didn't quite know what to make of the extra indentations! Greatly appreciate it! :smile1:

I wouldn't even mention the site. Just tell the seller the bag is fake, Coach never used 's' as a month code for a bag and you want your money back plus shipping or you will open an INAD action.

That's how I would handle it, personally. Maybe somebody has a better solution? Some sellers refuse to believe their bags are fake.

We can't be 100 percent sure of authenticity without a creed photo, but I don't see any obvious problems.

And full-size bags classified as handbags rather than accessories only stopped having serial numbers less than a year ago. The Penny you bought was introduced almost 3 years ago and should have a serial number.

Hyacinth, I guess i will have to wait when the package arrives. Just crossing my fingers i will have luck this time. If the bag is okay, i will have to to tackle the rehab!
