Please tell me if this gorgeous bag is authentic. The 90% feedback of seller concerns me... This bag would look AMAZING on my arm!

Thank you ladies... Thank you!!
It's an authentic basic bag from the late 70s/early 80s. It has anchors on the strap. (I wonder if the seller has been hanging around tpf!) I have the same bag. I would be worried about that zipper. It is prohibitively expensive to replace zippers in these bags. The original ones were made of brass. The original handle strap is also missing and the seller doesn't mention it.

One of the seller's negatives was for not sending an item and not communicating. The other was for an inaccurate description.

Good morning!
Can you please check this listing for me?
I am concerned about the Stewardess!
Thank you.

They all seem ok to me but I haven't owned any of the styles, there may be something I'm missing. Other opinions are welcome.

What worries you about the Stewardess?
I agree, I don't see any problems with any of them. The creed of the Stewardess matches the font of other B factory creeds.

That bag is NOT an exception to the signature "rule." The bag is fake.

ETA: KRUCZKO has another fake: - DO NOT BUY FROM kruczko
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Blue-Purse-/221737517631?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33a096023f

The gold acetate mini sig lining is always fake, the creed is the wrong color and material, the stamping is wrong and the serial number is invalid, incomplete and in the wrong place.

I felt the same way about the seriel # buuuuuut I was wrong before.

And... It is a solid rule, correct :..all Signature c print on the outside, NO Sig. C on the inside. Not asking about patchwork. The month code was 'U'

Never mind... Didn't see the answer.

Should I ask the seller about this or pass on this bag and find another? I think it is.. GORGEOUS. How do you like yours? Is it heavy?

Certainly direct the seller here. If she cares about her ebay reputation and account, she'll do whatever it takes to make sure her listings comply with ebay policy (and federal trademark law).

Coach has used S as a PLANT code (for China), last character in the prefix of a serial number, but NEVER as a month code, the first letter of the prefix. If vandak5757 sold bags with an S month code, she should owe her buyers refunds.

And with regard to her statement that she bought it from the outlet, she's either mistaken about the source or lying. That bag didn't come from a legitimate Coach outlet though the internet is flooded with non-Coach "outlets."

ETA: BTW, I will commend the seller for issuing the full refund but her suggestion to donate it isn't one that I recommend. My guess is that that's how she ended up with her bag; someone donated it and although it's illegal even for thrift stores to sell fakes, it happens and buyers like you get scammed.

Yes, I gave her the eBay link about Coach's serial numbers. Thanked her too for quick response and refund. So now i was planning to give the bag to my 5 to niece to play with. ..? I hope that's ok. i Can take out the fob but icant do anything with the creed inside to make it a non branded bag...

Sounds like....SOMEBODY...knows its fake. Otherwise they'd want the bag back. :busted

Still giving her the benefit of the doubt... She still has some coach purses on her listings, i havent gone thru them.
I have to agree on this one that she's busted. The fact that she claims to have purchased from the "Coach outlet" yet tells you to donate the bag tells me she knew what she had.

There's no reason why your niece can't use the bag. And in the event that your niece tires of it, if she chooses to donate, a recommendation is to use a thick Sharpie and mark it across the creed "counterfeit" at least will let someone know that the bag is fake.

Thank you! It got away. . .i have yet to be successful in my ebay bidding. It is a leaning process, for sure. I seem to lose out in last 5 seconds. . .lol, I will figure it out!
You're welcome. There is an art to bidding. You can either bid your highest amount early and sit it out, or wait until the last moment to put in a high bid, hoping to catch other buyers unaware. Some buyers use a sniping service so they get their bid in at the last second, and it is impossible to beat them unless your bid happens to be higher.

You can mark over the creed with a permanent marker with the word fake or cut out part of the creed.
Please help me out on this one? Thanks.
