May I have this Coach Garnet authenticated please? I've spent hours getting it in shape & just noticed the Creed edging is white (cardboard?) which makes me wonder. (Pic 5)

I think the sealant came off the edge of the creed. I'm sure the creed is leather and the bag looks fine.

Why do you think it's cardboard? Does it shred when you get it wet? Try that on a small area. If it was cardboard you wouldn't be able to wash the bag and almost all leather Coaches are washable.

For a long time Coach has used an extra layer of leather to stiffen certain parts of some bags. That's one thing it could be. If it's only used as a stiffener there's no reason to dye the leather. And thicker Coach leathers are often white underneath the dye. Or as BeenBurned suggested, it could be just cracked sealant.

I don't see any problems.

The K4H- fake has already been removed, but I just wanted to add a photo of a GENUINE K4H- serial in a United States creed in case I haven't posted it here in the ATC thread before (it HAS been posted as an added post in the Salearea Guides thread) before so anyone keeping a photo file is free to add it to their collection. While the H code MAY be a "floater", not only were the few H plant creeds in genuine bags from that same month and year all made in the US, but a style 9966 Legacy Zip could never have been made in China or any other plant in October 1994 as the fake creed indicates since that style wasn't even introduced until Spring 1997.

Hi again ladies!
Could you please take a look at this bag? Upon searching this thread I found where you had deemed one of this seller's bag as fake about two years ago. I was wondering if this one is ok.

Sorry I missed that clutch authentication. I do always look before posting a request.
I know the tag on the Regina is wrong but kinda’ like the contrast!

It's hard to do a forum Search for Goodwill listings, just searching for "Goodwill" as the seller will bring up a LOT of listings. Or if the poster abbreviated it as "GW" as some obviously do, the Search won't pick it up if only "goodwill" is specified. You might find it if the original poster included the GW listing number in her post, but sometimes they don't. It's important that we have as much of that kind of information as possible included in authentication requests so members and authenticators can use the search engine effectively.

Even when the forum regulars make a habit of clicking on every or almost every listing being asked about, we can't always remember them all if another poster happens to ask about the same bag a few weeks or months later, but sometimes that's the only way to remember and find pervious posts about the same item. It takes time to figure out the most effective way of doing a Search but eventually you begin to figure out the best method based on the information available.
