It's hard to do a forum Search for Goodwill listings, just searching for "Goodwill" as the seller will bring up a LOT of listings. Or if the poster abbreviated it as "GW" as some obviously do, the Search won't pick it up if only "goodwill" is specified. You might find it if the original poster included the GW listing number in her post, but sometimes they don't. It's important that we have as much of that kind of information as possible included in authentication requests so members and authenticators can use the search engine effectively.

Even when the forum regulars make a habit of clicking on every or almost every listing being asked about, we can't always remember them all if another poster happens to ask about the same bag a few weeks or months later, but sometimes that's the only way to remember and find pervious posts about the same item. It takes time to figure out the most effective way of doing a Search but eventually you begin to figure out the best method based on the information available.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll work on coming up with a better system. Apologies again for making you ladies do double work.

You have the incorrect seller ID for the listing that comes up and the bag shown isn't an NT fake but IS another fake.

These are the pictures:

The seller of the bag on Etsy is GutsyGirls and she has a long history of listing fakes and being discussed here.

There are 6 pages (!!!) of discussion on her:
https://forum.purseblog.com/search/9505439/?q=debbieb208&o=date

And as a warning to those who may search ebay for vintage bags, although debbieb208 isn't selling Coach on ebay, she IS selling using classiccottage7 .

What the heck? This is one of her current listings:

Good Morning Authenticators! Hope everyone is well! I've been MIA for a couple of years but I'm finally tired of the bins of purses in my garage mocking me every time I walk past.

I have two for today which I will post separately. These are in my possession, purchased years ago.

Bag #1 is approximately 8.5 x 8.5 x 2.5 with a 22" strap drop. Hopefully you can see the creed, it was difficult to get a good shot.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Why would you want to compare the fonts? The fake "Saddle Bag" from the earlier post is fake, period. The fonts used in that one have no connection to reality. I assume this is the one you mean?

The one in THIS post #42547
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-2837#post-33413942
a- is genuine
b- isn't a Saddle Bag, it's a Crescent Bag, style 9235. I'm not sure if that's the original hangtag.
and
c- the Made in NYC creed and lack of a serial number indicates it was made some time in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Even if the creed fonts were identical, which they're not, all it would prove is that the fakes makers were either very careful or very lucky. It's not that hard to copy or reproduce a font that would have been used in at least a few Coach bags some time during that 25-year vintage and classic period.

(BTW, the creed stamp font used in the fake from the earlier post is noticeably rounder, compare the "o"s, the "c"s and the "g"s to the same letters in your friend's vintage Crescent Bag.)

Having an identical font to another bag doesn't prove anything. After all, there are a limited number of fonts that were used in classic and vintage Coaches. What's important is having exactly the font and creed and serial number details that a bag is supposed to have for the month, year and plant indicated in the serial number, or in this case, the years when a bag with those particular production details would have been made. Having the "correct" font proves nothing. Having the WRONG font proves everything.

Apologies not necessary.

I remembered the Regina because of the mismatched hangtag so I searched the listing number from your post, "78633460" and it came up. It was your helpful request with all the information that made in possible to find that previous post.
