Hello

Haven't made a bid on this yet, wanting to know if it's authentic.

Item: Coach Willis
Seller: station_85
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-COACH-...senger-Satchel-Purse-Bag-9927-CR/372713866463

Comments: I had to message the seller for the picture of the creed. It's shown below.

The bag in question is authentic but before buying, it's recommended that you search the forum for the seller's ID and "station 85" because the seller has a long and checkered history.

There have been many fakes, listings without adequate pictures and thousands of feedbacks indicating that the seller's pictures depict items in better condition than they are.

The listing you asked about is just one example of the seller's lack of care in listing. This seller certainly knows that creed photos are necessary in order to verify authenticity yet she continually "forgets" to show (at best) or avoids showing them (at worst).

https://forum.purseblog.com/search/8809923/?q=station_85&o=date&c[node]=113

And these posts are just the Hall of Shame (fakes) that were posted here. There have been other fakes also over the years.

tagyaritza, please also read my post from just a few days ago, if you haven't found it already. My personal experience with that seller goes back at least 12 or 13 years and my experience back then wasn't any different than all those complaints found in their files at Toolhaus.org.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Hello! Please authenticate, I currently have both of these in my possession if better pics are needed. Thanks!

Item: Saddle? Ramblers Legacy C30-9061
Seller: tweenbennett
Link: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/283551373484
Comments: The creed and some other details seem correct to me but the strap is not as wide and thinner than my other rambler but that one was made in the US a few years prior so maybe just a design change?

Item: Court Bag G8P-9870
Seller: babsbil
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Black-Leather-COACH-CROSSBODY-Purse-5c9146cfbb7615ea76ff7f44
Comments: The creed model number is very hard to make out in pics but in person I’m pretty sure it reads G8P-9870. I’ve attached a couple more pics.

Thanks!

Both look okay. The first is probably british tan, just really in need of conditioning. My Chinese Rambler's Legacy has a slightly narrower strap than my US one.

The first and last ones are genuine, the second one with the "N8E-" prefix is a complete FAKE.

Hi, is this purse authentic?

The creed is hard to read, thanks in advance
I've seen enough fakes with 012-3445 as the serial number to recognize the thick font and invalid serial number.

(The number is on Hyacinth's list but if you don't recognize the creed, it's understandable that you wouldn't know what to look up on the fake serial number list.)

And for those who may miss the bag in case ebay pulls the listing, here it is:

BeenBurned, you've got some good eyeballs, lol. I couldn't figure out what it said at all. I see that its being bid on by someone with a high amount of auctions under their belt, so I figured maybe there was a chance that it was ok. Thanks so much for the prompt reply and for saving me from bidding.

It's not as much good eyesight as knowing what to look for.

I'm glad to save you from throwing away your hard-earned money. (And BTW, my records show reports of fakes from theortx in 2014 and 2018. One would think the seller would have learned to verify before listing.

@Mirakalih

Although I did reply, I think your post may have been missed because it was incomplete. Online purchases (such as yours from Ebay) require links to listings and seller IDs. For future requests, please refer to the first post of the thread.

Really Sorry About that but I will make sure to enclose the link and seller ID for further request.
Thank you for your advice and kind help.
Have a lovely day :)

Hi, everyone! I’m new here and am learning so much! I have a purse that I bought at a yard sale years ago, and though I’ve searched this forum, I can’t find info on this style or whether it’s authentic. Granted, I didn’t go through all 2,622 pages, but I read a lot and tried the search bar. Please let me know if I need to do this differently or include other info. Thanks so much for your help. As I can see from the age of this forum, many of you have years of wisdom and experience, and I appreciate your sharing. Welcome! It's an authentic Broadway satchel #9891 made in the early 90s.
