@Mirakalih

Although I did reply, I think your post may have been missed because it was incomplete. Online purchases (such as yours from Ebay) require links to listings and seller IDs. For future requests, please refer to the first post of the thread.

Yup, this is the right place. Welcome to TPF.

#1 is authentic but not yet vintage. It was made in 2004. Vintage is 20+ years old.

#2 is fake.

Did you purchase them online? Is there a link to where they came from? Can you get a refund for #2?

I bought these Willis bags around the same time, but don't remember if they came from the outlet store or online. I will list the black one that is authentic and you have saved me from listing the one that is not authentic. You provide a real service! Thank you so much.

The black one very well may have come from a Coach factory outline, as indicated by the bullet stamp but the tan one didn't come from any legitimate retailer.

Thank you for verifying before listing.

You can sell the strap of the cream one as a generic strap. You can save the hardware for future repairs. If you dispose or donate the bag, please destroy the creed first.

AUTHENTICATE This COACH

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread.

Note: The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

Please follow the following rules:

  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:
    Link:
    Comments:

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
  • Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.
  • Please note that comments on price and condition are NOT permitted.
  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.
  • Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.
  • Do not handle your disputes with other members in this thread but take your differences to Private Messages. Failure to do so can result in banning.

Hi! Can you please authenticate for me? I purchased this several months ago and forgot to get it authenticated. Thx so much!
Item: Murphy
Listing number: na
Seller: plusme

Comments: Thx again!!

Hello

Haven't made a bid on this yet, wanting to know if it's authentic.

Item: Coach Willis
Seller: station_85
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-COACH-...senger-Satchel-Purse-Bag-9927-CR/372713866463

Comments: I had to message the seller for the picture of the creed. It's shown below.
The bag in question is authentic but before buying, it's recommended that you search the forum for the seller's ID and "station 85" because the seller has a long and checkered history.

There have been many fakes, listings without adequate pictures and thousands of feedbacks indicating that the seller's pictures depict items in better condition than they are.

The listing you asked about is just one example of the seller's lack of care in listing. This seller certainly knows that creed photos are necessary in order to verify authenticity yet she continually "forgets" to show (at best) or avoids showing them (at worst).

And these posts are just the Hall of Shame (fakes) that were posted here. There have been other fakes also over the years.
