Welcome @bmanto233.

I have a couple of comments.

When comparing various bags, although they may look similar, there are usually differences. The differences could be in size, materials, linings, pockets, straps, etc.

For example:
  • 7542 measures about 8.25" wide x 4.5" high x 2.5" deep. It has a non-adjustable shoulder strap with about 7.5" drop. The back of the bag doesn't have any pocket and the leather closure with buckle that goes over from the back to the front looks like this, front and back:

  • 7540 is larger. It measures about 10" wide x 5.5" high x 2.75" deep. It has a long crossbody strap with buckles for some flexibility in adjusting the drop length. The front and back buckle/strap differ from 7542, as shown below:

  • 9354 is a completely different style with a pocket and imprint in the back. While the front of the flap/buckle strap looks similar to the above, it's not the same. And the back of the bag is completely different:

It's really important to remember that when comparing bags, you MUST compare apples to apples; identical styles to identical styles. Bags may look similar but unless they are the same style number, there will be differences.

Thank you, I did not even notice those small differences in the styles 7540 and 7542 buckles. And before asking here, I was skeptical of the 9354 bag. I try to compare only those with the same style number, but clearly not looking at enough details..!

Greetings,
I would like this purse authenticated, please. I just bought it from Poshmark, and I can't find the serial number with a Google search. I think the "P" at the end means it is a pilot. Is this right? Thank you for any information you can provide!purse1.jpg purse2.jpg purse3.jpg

Comments: I looked at a bunch of authentication guides and it looks pretty good to me... just wanted to double check, never seen the B2P serial number come up before

PLEASE don't depend on any information in anything calling itself an "authentication guide"! There are no 1 or 2 or 3 details that can ever prove a Coach is genuine! The only way to prove that is to determine that every single detail of the time is correct for that style number, production date and the plant where it was made.

Before you make some serious mistakes by getting stuck with fakes because some of these useless and dangerous guides claim something like having a certain brand of zipper or a "correct" serial number proves that a Coach is genuine, please read the Signature under every one of my posts. Then read the six Salearea Coach Guides posted right here in the Shopping forum, paying special attention to the section on authenticity guides. Read the entire thread for some background but READ AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE GUIDES.
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/salearea-guides.983575/

The chances are 100 percent that most of what's in that "bunch of authentication guides" you read is not only a waste of your time but also partly, mostly or completely inaccurate. You may have already gotten stuck with fakes without knowing it if that's what you're depending on for your Coach buying decisions.

Hello Authenticators,

I would love input on this item. It came horribly misshapen, which is evident in the photos, but I hope it is still ok for authentication. I took photos of all the tags I could find, but I couldn't find a white cloth tag in this bag like the rogues have... Please let me know if you need more/better photos of anything.

Item Name (if you know it): Market Tote
