If I did sell on Poshmark, I would be happy that they didn't come back later to try to take the money back.
True and I get that, but you're an honest seller and would have verified authenticity of your item prior to listing it. So this wouldn't have happened to you.

But a seller who didn't abide by policy (and the law) before listing should be made aware of what transpired, if for no other reason than that she can make sure it doesn't happen again. If she's an honest seller, she'll realize the prevalence of counterfeit goods and do her due diligence next time.

I'm not a seller on Poshmark so I don't know how it works for sellers. The way I understand it, the buyer had an opportunity when she received the bag to say there was a problem. She didn't do that. She accepted the bag. Because of this, Poshmark released the money to the seller. At this point, they honored their contract with the seller and didn't take the money back. If I did sell on Poshmark, I would be happy that they didn't come back later to try to take the money back.

I blocked the seller. I was disgusted with everything and didn't want to talk to her any further. That's why there's no comment from me on her listing. Maybe I didn't handle it the way others would, but I'm one to fear confrontation. I hope you understand.

I actually plan to destroy the bag and dispose of it. So it actually won't be in circulation.

As for the credit, I figured it was better than nothing. That may outrage some of you, but I have my reasons for being fine with this outcome as far as compensation.

I have a feeling I'm just pissing more people off, so I'll just go back to lurking, and occasionally ask about authenticity....

Don't be afraid of pissing any of us off! I don't like confrontation either, so I totally understand.

If you think you're pissing me off, please don't think that way. It couldn't be further from the truth. YOU ARE THE VICTIM HERE! (I'm not yelling at you; just emphasizing.)

What pisses me off is how poshmark turns a blind eye to fakes, illegality, immorality, lack of ethics, lies, name-calling, dishonest sellers, etc.

@pandapreston, lest you think I'm just coming around to feeling this way, please go back through my posts over the last several YEARS when I've refused to authenticate and recommend Poshmark (even honest sellers of authentic items) because of the way PM runs the site. In fact, my "BeenBurned" ID was banned on Poshmark because dishonest sellers and the site didn't like that I commented on fakes. (Note that I wasn't rude; just honest statements of fact.)

So I just skip over any authentication requests for items that are listed on Poshmark.

I do understand that you're reluctant to have a confrontation and I agree that a credit is better than nothing. As I said in my last post, I can't dictate your comfort level and I'm not trying to.

I'm merely telling you why I feel as I do toward that site.

I get it, and I can understand why you feel that way, especially since I just was burned on that site, myself. It makes me very hesitant to buy bags there in the future. I may not ever again.

I'm glad I didn't piss anyone off, though. :)

Is NS RACK Nordstrom Rack?

It looks fine. It's a crossgrain Nolita satchel. (The tag would show the style name, often in an abbreviated form.)

Note that the "E" after the style number on the creed probably indicates an exclusive (style/color) bag that was made for a specific department store. Although there's never been confirmation or proof, I believe the "E" bags were sold at Dillard's.

Yes NS is nordstrom rack but I also identified some places on the bag where the stitching is frayed and overlapping. Zipper has YKK tho so again im not sure.

It's possible that the bag was returned (by a buyer) to the department store from which it was purchased, possibly because of broken stitches or more likely because the buyer used it and no longer needed it. (Some department stores have way too liberal return policies!)

After the department store took it back, they would probably have returned it to Coach since there was damage, after which, Coach sold it to the liquidator, NR.

What you're calling overlapping stitching is something you see on all bags (and clothing). At beginning and ends of seams and stitching, they "backtack," which is done to lock the stitches in place so they're less apt to unravel.

Note that zipper brand has nothing to do with authenticity!

Yes, my opinion is that it's authentic.
I found some photos of the same style bag online after you told me the name. straight and the stitching on the Creed goes all the way around and has the carriage logo mine stops part way and only says coach. Sorry for the back and forth....I've attached photos of mine vs bags I found online and I've attached a link to 2 unboxing video straight from coach below.

Although both are "Nolita," they aren't the same style number.

Your bag is style 25017.
The bag you're comparing it to is 36392.

When making comparisons, you have to compare apples to apples; identical bag to the identical style.

Please follow the following rules:

  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:
    Link:
    Comments:

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
