I think there should be a serial number. it's possible that it is rubbed and difficult to read but she should show it.

I think I can see the top of the serial number in the fold. She needs to prop the bag open and photograph it.

Hmmmm. Good spot. I think you are right about the top of the serial number. I will reach out to the seller and see if she is willing to provide a better pic.

So... I contacted seller and she was very nice, sent me another pic right away saying she found it a little further down than usual and had overlooked it, thus she thought upon googling that it was like other Italy bags with no number. I don't know what to make of this number! It looks like an older style of reg number, and does not have an Italy plant code (E?). I recall reading elsewhere on this forum @Hyacinth saying Italy is known for wonky creed numbers.

COACH Court Black Leather Satchel Purse Bag 9870 Made in Italy! Legacy 1990's

Listing number: 254183802207

Seller: beckabootoo

Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Cour...802207?hash=item3b2e89055f:g:tQcAAOSwF8BckX7W

Comments: What do people make of this listing? I am leery only because while I know there were certain special collections made in Italy with no serial/style number on the creed, I have never heard of a Legacy Court bag not having a number. Thx in advance!

It's authentic. Italy was one of the plants in operation before 1994 when plant codes weren't used. It was probably made 1992-1993.

I assume so. I've never seen anything that proves it, but it seems to work. I'd love to see what styles are inside that booklet.

There aren't many changes from the 1976 booklet, if you already have scans of that one.

I think there are still only 7 pages in the booklet. The 9655 Small Zippered Pouch from 1976 was replaced by a different picture of the 9441 Watermelon Tote, and the 9235 Crescent and 9655 Small Zippered Pouch from 1976 were replaced by the 9455 Zippered Clutch and 9546 Skinny Tote in the 1979 booklet. Here are the 1979 additions:

ETA - Oh well, better late than never.

I’m on Poshmark and I’m interested in this purse. They are offering it to me for cheap so I was wondering if it was real?

Welcome to tPF!

It looks ok but that;s a highly faked style so it has to be looked at carefully. We don't recommend Poshmark because of their indefensible policy of not removing fakes when reported, often refusing to refund a buyer's money after they've bought a fake, and of also sometimes doing just the opposite - removing genuine Coaches saying they're fake!. Also, please read the first post in this thread, with items currently listed on internet sites we need to know the listing's URL and if possible the seller's name or ID.

Hello Authenticators, can I please trouble you to run your expert eyes over a couple of bags I’ve recently bought on ebay?
I have both bags with me and can post more photos if the ones in the ebay listings don't show everything you need to see.

Item 1: Coach Handbag Leather
Listing number: 132995862755
Seller: gmrm4650
Link: eBay listing https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Coach-Handbag-Leather-/132995862755
Comments: Measurements: 5 1/2 inches long x 4 1/2 inches wide x 5 1/2 inches tall.

Item 2: Small But Handy Coach Bag With Long Shoulder Strap
Listing number: 323751500132
Seller: samuraidoll
Link: eBay listing https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Small-But-Handy-Coach-Bag-With-Long-Shoulder-Strap/323751500132
Comments: There is no Creed on this little bag, only the silver 'Coach New York' branding on the outside. Inside it has a small semi-transparent “MADE IN CHINA” label sewn into the side seam of the lining (photo below). Lining looks to be plain black cotton. It has a single compartment with one internal slip pocket. No marking on the hardware.
Measurements: 10 inches long x 4 1/2 inches wide x 6 inches tall.
(I've not found a similar style with Google so I already have suspicions, although the bag itself looks and feels quite well made).

Thanks in advance

They both look fine to me but more opinions are welcome about the second one. The first one appears to be a genuine Bonnie Cashin mini bag but I don't know much more than that. It was probably made in the late 1960s to early 1970s. WHATEVE may be able to add more information, or the posters at the main Coach forum - Coach Clubhouse - Vintage Photos and Chat thread might be able to identify it.

I think they're okay also although for the second one, I'm wondering whether there might be a small white tag hidden inside the inner pocket. If there, it's probably hard to find.

Wow, you got a great deal on that little Bonnie Cashin (US equivalent of $21.36)! I don't know what I'd do with it because of its tiny size but it's adorable!

Thank you Hyacinth and BeenBurned!
Yes, I'm in love with the little swing bag, although I'll struggle to find occasions to carry it!

I turned the internal pocket inside out on the second bag but didn't find any other tags. I'll message the seller and see if I can get an idea of how old it is, or some other clue, otherwise I'll send myself crazy trying to identify the style -- I will not rest until the mystery is solved!

Thanks again :)
