I forgot the name. This was a gift an odd 5 years ago or so.

I think it's fake because of the strap is quite literally falling apart. I had this wristlet in a drawer with another coach bag and it's completely fine. Unless this is a fault of the manufacturer?

It appears to be authentic though a picture of the made in tag would be helpful. It looks like a MFF (made to be sold at Coach's outlets) item.

It appears to be the same style as the one in this listing:

Item:
COACH Court Black Leather Satchel Purse Bag 9870 Made in Italy! Legacy 1990's

Listing number: 254183802207

Seller: beckabootoo

Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Cour...802207?hash=item3b2e89055f:g:tQcAAOSwF8BckX7W

Comments: What do people make of this listing? I am leery only because while I know there were certain special collections made in Italy with no serial/style number on the creed, I have never heard of a Legacy Court bag not having a number. Thx in advance!

I think there should be a serial number. it's possible that it is rubbed and difficult to read but she should show it.

I think I can see the top of the serial number in the fold. She needs to prop the bag open and photograph it.

I did go to the Caribbean once. That could be the reason why. I suppose I have to cough up some serious coin to get it fixed. I do appreciate you doing this, thanks!
You're welcome. If it were mine. I would cut off the strap. You could use it as a pouch without a strap or buy a clip on strap.
Something like this, but I would look around more to find something that matched and didn't ship from China: https://www.amazon.com/Alban-Leather-Wallet-Wristlet-Keychain/dp/B01N3XWSST

Would you mind taking a look at this bag please? I haven't posted from my desktop in ages, and all these fancy upgrades are challenging me a bit! Forgive me if I make a mess.
Rambler's Legacy with nickel hardware, in my possession, purchased locally. While wearing my old bifocals, because they're cuter than my current ones. So I didn't see that extra dash until I got it home.:confused1: Thanks in advance!

It's fine. The extra dash is common from this plant and year.

I was going to suggest looking for a date on the booklet. Sometimes it is coded, like 0472 means April 1972.
@RL Bernstein posted recently that metal tags preceded leather imprinted logos, so it was probably made between 1972 and 1974.

Here's a booklet with 7911 on the front cover. Would that be 1979, November?
