Item Name: Coach black leather shoulder/messenger bag with silver buckles, Made in Vietnam
Link: None
Size: 8" x 12"
I purchased this bag which has the registration number imprinted inside but I have been unable to authenticate the number. Numerous photos attached.

There's one on Ebay that's still an active listing, and another one in Completed Listings - what were you hoping to find that would "authenticate the number"? Just want to point out that even if an identical number is found in an identical bag, that doesn't prove either of them are genuine. Individual items can be authenticated if we have enough photos of the important details. Numbers can't. No number can ever prove something is genuine although some numbers can prove something is fake. You can search for other items with the same number but that doesn't do anything to "authenticate" the number by itself.

The bag in your photos and the bags in the Ebay listings are all genuine.

I think it could be an early version of 9785, zipper tote. That style didn't have center front and back seams, but we've seen early duffles that had center seams while later versions didn't, so that might be the case for this one too.

Thank you so much! The center seams are definitely what threw me the most. I could find bags with a center seam and side panels, and bags with no side panels, but also no center seams, and it was infuriating. lol I just couldn't nail it down.

Hmm. I'm curious about this listing.

The seller, daniel4603 was posted on the COACH Hall of Shame and 2 fakes were posted.

I can't recall having seen a creed with "made in Italy" from the B plant.

With the exception of the long "O" in No., the rest of the serial number looks good.

ETA: For comparison, here's another 1996 B plant bag with correct text and description and appropriate country:

^^^ I think I know the answer!
I bet you figured out the B plant with Italy wording is fake! Did you notice that the strap keeper isn't sewn all the way around and that huge ring on the zipper pull? The creed frame is too rounded. A lot of these fake Sonomas have extra large creed patches.

I did figure it out! But I wanted to confirm.

Hello! Request to authenticate please. Thank you!
Item name: Coach crescent Berkeley bag (?) in chocolate brown, suede and pebbled leather.
Comments: In my collection. Bought from a GW last year. Bought at the same time, another just like it but that second one had no Coach markings at all and was slightly larger. I am unable to provide dimensions for that second one, my daughter is using it. Were any Coach bags made without any Coach markings? I have a briefcase that looks like Coach but no
markings. Thank you!
Dimensions 9"W 8"H 3"Depth. Creed F6C-9014
