Fake!

And dian_rain (dian rain) has had many fakes going back to 2015. In fact, in October, 2017, there was another report of a fake with J8P as the serial prefix. I'm betting it was the same bag and she relisted again!

ETA: here's a previous post on the seller:

Ugh - I swear I did a search and didn't see that. Sorry. Thanks for the intel.

Nope, it's not you.

If the seller's ID has a character such as underscore, hyphen, asterisk, etc., you can't search the forum for the full ID. Sometimes you can search by part of the name, i.e., "dian" but in this case, I had a vague recollection of the named and googled "dian_rain fake Coach" and found the posts.

Thank you so much - I even searched by what I thought was the serial number (JSP) but I realized the "s" was an 8. Thanks again. I feel guilty posting a bunch - like I'm hogging space on here/taking advantage but I'm starting a new job soon and really want a new satchel bag to go with me!

Item: pocket purse
Listing number: Poshmark
Seller: kmcneely14

Comments: I have already purchased this bag. The creed number is g2p-9755. In old ads this purse does not seem to have an adjustable strap (as this bag seems to) which I didnt learn until after I’d purchased and which has raised my concerns. I’m sorry I don’t know how to post pics, I have them if needed but just need instructions on how to do it.

I really wish the creed picture was clearer. I think it is authentic. This particular bag was made in 2002. Earlier versions didn't have an adjustable strap but later versions might have. Straps can be switched out. I don't have any ads for this style after 1997 although the style was definitely made for a long time after. All my ads show lobster type clasps rather than dogleash like on this bag. The 2002 ad of the Willis shows an adjustable strap with dogleash clips.

I am supposed to receive the bag tomorrow. I can post a clearer pic of the creed at that time. I'm really hoping it's a legit bag and the strap has just been replaced sometime during it's lifetime.

It is very possible that it came with that strap. Like I said, the Willis bag at the same time came with a similar strap. I'm 99% sure it is authentic based on the creed picture.

Although I don't like or recommend Poshmark, I can see and read the creed and the font is correct for the Costa Rican plant as stated on the creed.
