Hi everyone

Would anyone be able to authenticate this Coach legacy penny? I've been looking for one in green for a while now.

Item: Coach legacy penny, L1276-19914
Listing no: 5ae8ee09fcdc31b8ca57d07f ?
Seller: poshmark, tcdavis74
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/COACH-Penny-crossbody-5ae8ee09fcdc31b8ca57d07f
Comments: I saw an earlier TPF authentication that seemed to indicate Penny's from factory 76 might be fake as the authenticator had not seen a genuine one from that plant yet. This creed serial # seems to have a different format from the one in that post.

See this TPF thread here, post #7617 from BeenBurned:

Genuine, see my above post. The L plant code belongs to Thailand and this one is genuine.

Coach did make a few handbags with outside patches and generic serial numbers that didn't match the inside numbers. This may be the first time I've seen it on a travel item.

I didn't get a chance to report this one, but I don't see it anymore. The roller duffle I did report, though. This one I couldn't see the creed patch for sure, so was going to look at it later tonight when I had more time. Even though it's gone now, thank you for the update.

Was this in response to me? The solid color one has no identifying info except the zipper coach pull.
You didn't post any measurements, which we ask for in Post One especially with older bags. There should be a patch inside the bag on an inside pocket if it's wider than 9 or 10 inches. There are no photos of any inside pocket, or lining if it has any, There's no photo of the "Coach" zipper pull you mentioned either - does it actually say Coach on it? So I'm still in the same blind spot as before. None of the pictures you posted show whether or not it has the details a Coach should have. The small leather hangtag can't be used to authenticate since that can be easily added to a non-Coach bag. The style is recent enough and the bag looks big enough to have some kind of inside pocket with a creed and serial number on a leather patch if it's actually a genuine Coach.

Hi, Could someone let me know if this handbag is authentic? I was given several to sell on ebay for a friend, but couldn't find any matches online for this serial number. It's a large, whiskey brown leather bag with a short strap, top zipper and serial number D2K-9228 - and measures 18" x 12". Made in China. Thanks so much!

The bag is authentic from 2002.

Is this an authentic Coach Bag?
This bag is not currently listed for sale. I believe it is a Coach Carrier. The approximate dimensions are 17.5 x 10.5 x 5. The Creed has a registration number of 0217-942 and states it was made in the United States. I have attached photographs.

Yes, it's a genuine Carrier Bag, style 9800 from the early 1990s

When you list it, describe it as an Ergo Retro Large Zip style 9228.
