It's probably ok but they're not even close to the right style number.

It's too big to be the newer style Canteen Bag which was style 9982, and the measurements match the Chester Bag style 9901 which seems to have discontinued around 1993 and I don't think would have been made in 2000. The style number in the one you're asking about looks like 9960 which is for a Daypack, not any known style of Canteen Bag. I can't find any other bags in this design that were made in 2000 but it's possible they only made a few.

The serial number prefix does match other bags from Mexico, I just can't find any records of the style being made or re-made during 2000 although there may be one buried in a catalog somewhere.

ETA - the seller apparently posted the creed photo from a much NEWER style 9960 Daypack to this listing, and posted the creed from THIS 9901 Chester Bag to the Daypack listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coa...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

So the one you're asking about is genuine but it's at least 22 years old with a serial number of 009-1239. It IS genuine though and is an early 1990s Chester Bag..
Thanks for your expert investigation & opinion, Hyacinth. I was out, so just seeing your reply. Happy 4th!

Good Morning...and Happy 4th everyone!

Could someone please authenticate this Coach watch?
I think I got real lucky at GW yesterday :)
Face is approx. .625"w x 1"h. Band 7/16" x 6.375"
Maybe a Madison? Any idea when it was made?
Thanks in advance!

Wait for Beenburned. The seller isn't recommended. Her other ID was NARUed.

Hey girl! It's been a long time since you've posted here! Glad to see you back!

I do think the wallet you bought is authentic.

However, your seller has quite the history!

Regarding creamsiclemolly and her now-NARU'ed alterego, rosemerrily, there have been several recent discussions about them.

She has a long history of butchering both fake and authentic keychain and selling the charms separately on generic chains as "Coach jewelry" when the necklace or bracelet wasn't made by Coach and in many cases, the charms weren't Coach either.

Rosemerrily:
The following discussion is a scary close fake!!

And in the keychain clubhouse, there's even more discussion!! Do a search of both IDs and you'll hit the jackpot.

Well, I've received the wallet and it is authentic but it is worse shape than expected. It is really filthy dirty. You cannot tell how dirty it is from these pictures but the white sateen stripes are gray. I have hopes of cleaning the fabric but the big problem is that the metallic leather is very worn throughout most of the wallet. The top, the sides, the inside, the edges, it all shows significant wear.

I think that the pictures posted with the auction were fuzzy to deliberately hide the condition. I have learned an important lesson, in the future I will be wary of fuzzy photos!

I would not have bought it if I had realized the condition (or I would have only bought it if it was very cheap!) but I don't really have anything to complain about. It was sold "as is" and "no return" and shipped quickly. I bought it and I will just have to do my best to rehab it and try and make the most of it!

Thanks for all your advice!

I think you should file a SNAD claim. The seller described it as in very good condition. She didn't mention any wear to the leather at all. If she had described it accurately, you and probably other people would not have bid.

You are probably right, I will think about it. thanks

So now, in addition to creamsiclemolly 's and rosemerrily 's fakes, dismembered keychains and other issues, we can add non-disclosure of actual condition of her items.

While she mentioned "some light used signs and small stain beside turnlock," there's no mention of the condition of the interior leather and no mention of the finish that's practically gone from the female part of the turnlock.

IMO, it's not "very good" condition.

Seller: luna_sanch

Comments: Here's a light blue Legacy Penny that looks fake to me. The hangtag looks a bit off, as does the edge sealant (particularly on the hangtag), creed, and color. Also, it's NWOT, and the seller has another penny that looks suspect in her other listings. Fake or just a used bag? Thanks! :)
Please wait for other opinions. Also someone who might have the same style can chime in.

I will comment on my concerns. I wouldn't recommend buying it!
1. I've seen quite a few close fakes showing the "76" plant
2. Of every listing I looked at and which had a creed photo, all had "71" as the factory. I wasn't able to find another with 76. (This doesn't prove anything; just a comment, especially when I did find another listing from 2012 which also was made in plant 71.)
3. The centering and text placement on the creed is different from others from the same style from both 2012 and 2013.
4. The sealant you pointed out is a huge worry to me.

ETA: Same seller is lunasanch on Threadflip and there's a negative feedback from November, 2014 alleging that she sold a fake:

Yes, I *think* what you are seeing on the hangtag ( and somewhat on other spots, including sprinkles maybe from whoops on the creed) is a bad edge coat job. Coach wouldn't do that. As I have mentioned before, high end leather goods are edge coated with a machine. What those that home repair use a bottled edge coat that takes a very talented steady hand to apply.

Hi Coach friends!
I really want a City bag. Can someone tell me if these are authentic? Thank you!

I think it looks off too. The creed almost looks carved, with sharp edges. I've seen this look on vintage fakes. Every authentic Legacy creed I've seen is a lot less distinct.

The creed doesn't match creeds from the same plant, even from the same collection and same color, like this one made several months later: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-2...794?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2801d81b32
