Welcome to the purse forum! Please read the first post of this thread to see what information we need. Besides the link, we need the seller's name and item number. It helps us find requests in a search. It helps other members who might be interested in the same items and it helps the authenticators to accumulate a history on a seller.

All three appear authentic. They were all made in different countries and in different years, if that matters to you. The first was made in Turkey in 1997, the second in China in 2005, and the third in the US in 1999.

I did not want to bust your bubble when you posted it. These wallets are notorious for getting dirty and also for the metallic leather rubbing off.

I had a feeling that the wallet was not going to be in too good of shape. And I think it is hard to photo the issues.

A good seller would have detailed the issues in the text box.

Well, I've received the wallet and it is authentic but it is worse shape than expected. It is really filthy dirty. You cannot tell how dirty it is from these pictures but the white sateen stripes are gray. I have hopes of cleaning the fabric but the big problem is that the metallic leather is very worn throughout most of the wallet. The top, the sides, the inside, the edges, it all shows significant wear.

I think that the pictures posted with the auction were fuzzy to deliberately hide the condition. I have learned an important lesson, in the future I will be wary of fuzzy photos!

I would not have bought it if I had realized the condition (or I would have only bought it if it was very cheap!) but I don't really have anything to complain about. It was sold "as is" and "no return" and shipped quickly. I bought it and I will just have to do my best to rehab it and try and make the most of it!

Thanks for all your advice!

Please wait for other opinions. Also someone who might have the same style can chime in.

I will comment on my concerns. I wouldn't recommend buying it!
1. I've seen quite a few close fakes showing the "76" plant
2. Of every listing I looked at and which had a creed photo, all had "71" as the factory. I wasn't able to find another with 76. (This doesn't prove anything; just a comment, especially when I did find another listing from 2012 which also was made in plant 71.)
3. The centering and text placement on the creed is different from others from the same style from both 2012 and 2013.
4. The sealant you pointed out is a huge worry to me.

ETA: Same seller is lunasanch on Threadflip and there's a negative feedback from November, 2014 alleging that she sold a fake:

Yes, I *think* what you are seeing on the hangtag ( and somewhat on other spots, including sprinkles maybe from whoops on the creed) is a bad edge coat job. Coach wouldn't do that. As I have mentioned before, high end leather goods are edge coated with a machine. What those that home repair use a bottled edge coat that takes a very talented steady hand to apply.
I think it looks off too. The creed almost looks carved, with sharp edges. I've seen this look on vintage fakes. Every authentic Legacy creed I've seen is a lot less distinct.

The creed doesn't match creeds from the same plant, even from the same collection and same color, like this one made several months later: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-2...794?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2801d81b32

Thanks so much, y'all! :) Confirms my suspicions, really appreciate the help!

Item name: Whitney Top Handle Bag
Seller: Purchased from local Goodwill store
Comments: It is missing its longer strap. I was going to have it ID-ed first because I am not familiar with this sleek bag. I did a quick search on here and learned its name and how it was first introduced maybe in 1999-2000. I think it was made in 2001. Thanks in advance!

the style isn't a Whitney. Whitney is 4115 and that's not what that creed shows as the style number.

The bag looks fine but I can't read the style number. Whateve and Hyacinth will know what it is.

It;s a genuine Whitney Top Handle, from the 2000 Whitney line, not the Soho line. Made in 2001.

Duh. I should keep my mouth shut! Sorry!

Thank you for taking a look at my bag! It's such a relief. As I was looking at previous posts, I was getting worried because at first I thought the bag was made in 1991 and the bag wasn't even introduced at that time. And then I realized it might have been 2001 instead.
No, BB. Thank you for taking time out to even look at my bag! I appreciate all of you.

I thought I remembered this bag being authenticated earlier but I can't bring it up. Please help me out here...I appreciate it.
