Item: Coach Patchwork Gallery Tote Fall 11495
Listing number: 152719950920
Seller: actoy_mia

Comments: This bag looks fake to me, but I want to make sure before I report it. Thank you!

It's fake. A lot of the patches are wrong including C pattern ones with Cs that are the wrong size or shape. The trim should be a light to medium brown, and the overall stitching is really bad. AND the hardware on that style should ALWAYS be brass, never silver.
actoy_mia has this fake too!

I'm curious about this briefcase. THe seller has a "pretty extensive" history of mixing.

The following listing certainly doesn't look like any 4082 I've seen!

Seller ltc_988
Item: 371848881406

Coach 4082 BreifCase DOUBLE BUCKLE BLKACK BRIEFCASE (PU800

Fake. The serial is stamped much too deeply and the entire creed is wrong including a too-big Coach logo and cartouche at the top of it, style 4082 is a Soho Bag, NOT a briefcase (there are NO briefcases at all anywhere in the 40xx number sequence, they're almost all Lightweights or Sohos), the serial prefix looks like J(?)4X- which isn't a valid plant code for 1994 - the creed is the old "scars, scratches" and says made in the United States - and there wouldn't have even been an X plant in 1994, Coach didn't even get to "U" for Hungary until 1995. The first verifiable X plant item I have on file is from late 1996 and the creed stamp doesn't look anything like this one.

This is the best I can do enlarging the creed. Any other guesses as to what the serial number might be?

Thank you for confirming. This seller's history (according to my records) goes back to 2012. And I've reported over 10 times!

The prefix looks like J4N to me.

Well, if none of us can read it and come up with the same result, I doubt very much if Coach stamped it! And every time I look at that J or whatever it is, it looks different.Wonder if the seller takes such cwap photos on purpose?

Hi there,

Could you please authenticate the handbag:

Do you know how to get out ink? Thanks for your time
Please wait for one of the other authenticators to confirm authenticity. Regarding the ink, it's very hard to remove from tan leather. Please search the Coach Rehab and Rescue thread for further information (not very encouraging, I'm sorry to say).

It's authentic. Your link didn't work for me. This is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-241-V...485335?hash=item4d64044d57:g:TfIAAOSw1MBZyD8R

I agree with Catbird9 that ink is really hard to remove. I wouldn't worry about the ink inside. For the outside, I would try the zit cream bleaching method. Since it is a light colored bag, the bleached area wouldn't be as noticeable as on a dark bag, and would probably be easy to cover with paint. Keep in mind that you might not be able to remove the ink so it is a risk.

Her fakes have already been removed.

If this is the attitude of kimdrharri_0, I wouldn't do business with her. Clearly, she's in denial though perhaps after her 3 fakes were removed, she might be open to advice!
Since a post was made about me I will respond. I in no way knew any of the.purses were not authentic. These particular ones and others were owned by my mother. Yes I was frustrated, when it was stated that they were not authentic. I was in no way attempting to get over on anyone. I even had this particular purse looked at by a person, who said she knows coach purses. I think it is very childish to share my emails because in that moment I was upset. I have been checking all the others purses, before they are listed. So feel free to police my listings.

Welcome to the purse forum. We would be happy to authenticate your Coach purses for you before you list them. We can't authenticate any active listings for a seller, although we will for potential buyers.
