Well, if none of us can read it and come up with the same result, I doubt very much if Coach stamped it! And every time I look at that J or whatever it is, it looks different.Wonder if the seller takes such cwap photos on purpose?
There are sellers who do that! (I know it's hard to believe!)

Since a post was made about me I will respond. I in no way knew any of the.purses were not authentic. These particular ones and others were owned by my mother. Yes I was frustrated, when it was stated that they were not authentic. I was in no way attempting to get over on anyone. I even had this particular purse looked at by a person, who said she knows coach purses. I think it is very childish to share my emails because in that moment I was upset. I have been checking all the others purses, before they are listed. So feel free to police my listings.
Welcome @Kimdra76.

No one accused you of knowingly selling fakes. Even honest sellers can make mistakes but as I've said in the past, it's how those mistakes are handled that give insight into how honorable the seller is, whether the seller is willing to own up to an error and whether the seller is one we'd want to do business with.

You can't imagine how many people come here and to the ebay (and other discussion) boards claiming that they received items from rich relatives who'd never buy fakes, wealthy estate sales that always vet items prior to putting them out for sale, etc.

A good rule of thumb to go by is that if you didn't personally purchase an item yourself from a legitimate retailer (and that doesn't mean a thrift or consignment store), for your own reputation, ebay account and your own peace of mind and for that of your buyers, it's a good idea to get your items looked at by those who really know the brand. Although you said you had this purse looked at by someone who knows Coach, clearly, that person was wrong.

I'm sorry that someone scammed you along the way but if you learn from the experience, you can make sure it doesn't happen again. (BTW, all the rest of vintageslv's listings look good.)

Welcome to the purse forum. We would be happy to authenticate your Coach purses for you before you list them. We can't authenticate any active listings for a seller, although we will for potential buyers.
^^^ This!

Can someone take a look and see if an authentication can be done from the two photos on this listing, please?

Item: Black Coach Purse
Link: https://item.mercari.com/gl/m50085760484/
Seller: ilikedeals1
Please request a picture of the creed. Ask the seller to use a wooden spoon (or a similar utensil) to prop the bag open, use decent lighting and get a picture at a better angle. I don't think there's enough information in the 2 pictures to authenticate it.

Thanks, BeenBurned! I didn’t think they were good enough photos so I have asked for more. You can never have too many! :)

When someone talks about ruining you, or they are doing you a favor, by not ruining you, then you defend yourself. .But then comes on a blog to share your messages, its clear what the intention was. Authentication is one thing, but attempting to detox people is another.Could I have handled it better, yes. Lesson learned.

I meant ruin not detox.
