Thank you and be safe!

Thanks Hyacinth!
Really wanted it to be as good as it looked, but I too wondered about that zipper pull, but then I'm suspicious of everything. .Hopefully the zipper on mine will work.
I will avoid Linda and her brown one (don't want a brown one, want that glorious large slouchy navy).
That brown one looks very close to the navy one. what's the difference? Just the creed?
That's scary, they look almost identical.

Actually the serial number font, it's completely wrong for what was being used at that D plant in late 1995. I don't know what "online authenticator" they use for Coach but they're obviously NOT qualified, and it doesn't help that the creed in her photo is almost unreadable.

There are THIRTY ONE PAGES of comments about that seller in the Seller thread at tPF's Ebay board, you may want to read at least the most recent ones, but there's a long history of incompetent authenticating and unhappy buyers for a variety of reasons. One tPF poster said "I often see items I want on Linda's Stuff, but the minute I see who the seller is I click back. It's not that I had a problem with something being non authentic. It was buying a $1200 Hermes bag and having it arrive folded in a box with no packing. Among other things."

From Hyacinth :
This black one seems to use the same creed stamp but the Made In Italy line is faint or missing. But it has the wrong zipper pull and more importantly the wrong style number, 4922 is a Sonoma Sling, pic below..

Thanks everyone for all of this information & research!
Since the Black bag at the link below looks like a 4919 Small Flap, but has the wrong style # on creed (4922) & wrong zipper pull, is it OK to report? Just being sure before I do, thanks!

Since there's a problem with the serial number it's probably ok to report it. Those slightly wrong Sonomas are hard to figure out.

Man! I did wonder as the top handle looked odd to me. I was hoping for a new black Willis. Thank you, you saved me from bidding on this.

I'm glad you noticed that! That is one of the places counterfeiters get wrong. The creed is pretty messed up too.
Is this the same bag? Did hanleyman2012 relist the same bag, this time WITHOUT the creed picture?

I've attached the picture of the creed from the (cached) removed listing that I was able to pull up.

A bit more on Lindasstuff aka linda*s***stuff -

Rumor has it that Linda uses Entrupy, a computer program that supposedly determines authenticity:
Post: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ood-news-or-scary.958708/page-2#post-30977633
"Linda's Stuff is listed as one of Entrupy's verified businesses. I know we've seen fakes on Linda's Stuff. I wonder if they have gotten any better since they've started using Entrupy."

"I heard they used bags from Linda's Stuff to help build their database. Who knows if true but very interesting!"

They are different pictures. Either this is the same bag or this one is its twin. The top portion of the creed has the same squished "United States" as the first listing. I can see grooves in the turnlock in this one which wasn't shown in the first listing. The first listing had a good picture of the top of the handle that showed that it didn't taper to the sides. I think you can see that in picture 6 but it isn't as apparent as it was in the first listing.

I know the pictures are different. The first set of pictures were date-stamped with Feb. 16 and the second (current) listing is date-stamped Feb. 25.

My question is whether this is the same bag and is it reportable.

I don't know if I am following this correctly, but this bag with a squished "STATES" on the creed is listed with 2/16 photos.by hanleyman2012 at same previous published link : http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...PURSE-/332128958239+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us .

Is this again the same fake bag ?
Forgive if I'm mistaken.
Will add all necessary info in future.
Interesting about Linda, read some of the posts. Will avoid. Why doesn't ebay care?. I would rather buy from someone who sells few bags and maybe trying to sell some of their personal bags, but who knows how to distinguish that.

First time user, pardon and highlight any breach of etiquette . . .
Bought this at an estate sale, serial number is 0883-209 - which, I understand, places this in the 1989-1994 time period. I have found several other similar/identical online with Nos. 0698-226, 0696-232, 0401-212, 021-1119, and what looked like C4C-5267.
Approx dimensions are 16.5" x 10.5" x 4."IMG_2567.JPG IMG_2568.JPG IMG_2569.JPG IMG_2570.JPG IMG_2571.JPG IMG_2572.JPG IMG_2573.JPG IMG_2574.JPG IMG_2575.JPG IMG_2576.JPG
