boxermom, or anyone familiar with duettes: Can you please look at this and tell me what you think? I have requested a pic. of the reverse of the authenticity tag, and was sent several pics that did not show numbers, but to my eye all looks good, except the shape of the frame pockets. Did earlier duettes have a different shape frame? Were the handles attached differently then they are in the python duette? Was it even larger than the current duettes? What about the color? When was this bag first produced?

If it helps, the style number and color code is correct - with the campania, the color code is a little different, again, because of the hardware. 8175 is the correct color code for nero, in the campania design.

Thanks for the info from an expert! Bv is so confusing sometimes to authenticate. When I ask questions in the store, no one wants to say anything, so I try to learn from other people with experience.

Hi and welcome to the Purse Forum and the BV subforum!

You have a good eye for quality--this is authentic. Seller is known for her authentic designer items. There is a white tag in the recent BV bags (I don't know when the white ones started) sewn into a seam that has a code with style, leather (I think), and color. Also the newest ones have the year the bag was made. The fakers try to copy the tags but we can often pick out something they didn't get right.

In this case, the seller can be trusted.

From what I can see, it looks good, but please request clear, close-up pictures of the front and back of the authenticity tag, located in the seam of the zipper pocket. Some of those numbers would give us the color. I am just guessing, but if this bag is this season's Veneta the "raspberry red" might be cassis, since the carmino veneta has a pink suede lining. By the way, the large Veneta should also have a cell phone pocket, which I think that I see. Ask if this bag has one.
