Looks pretty good with a couple of reservations:
1. you need to request a close-up picture of the nameprint (in the leather), so we can see it.
2. I do not have this number for Limo, so we need to find someone who has a Limo bag, and ask them for the color code in the bag. You might start a new thread in the BV sub-forum asking for this.,
3. I do not know how the zipper pulls are finished for Old Ball bags, so someone who has this bag can tell us if the edge of the leather tab is finished as is shown in the picture.

boxermom, or others, what do you think???

No, Sharona, it is not authentic. The font used on the impressed stamp (heatstamp) is not correct, and neither are the zipper pulls (though they are close, they are not exactly the right shape or guage). I believe this to be a counterfeit Veneta-style. If real, it should have an authenticity tag sew into the seam of the zipper pocket for this style.

Thank you so much for your help! No, I did not purchase this bag. It was given to a friend and she wanted me to sell it on on ebay for her. I'm so glad I asked here first before listing it.

Sharona

As an eBay buyer, thank you for being so conscientious!!!

I want to see the font as well. The code for Limo is 1520, so I don't know what color this code is for. The zipper looks like mine ( I have an old Ball bag in Ebano). In some pics the handle looks off, but in others it looks ok, so I think it's just the angle of the photos.

It looks real but I'm puzzled about the color code on the authenticity tag. It looks like the Ebano color and the code on the tag doesn't match either of the two codes that I've seen for Ebano.

I don't know what color this code is supposed to be. Hopefully someone else will come along with the info we need!

Added note: I checked another site and saw an authentic bag that appeared to be this same dark brown with the 1301 code, so I think this is the real deal.

I have 1301 listed as moro, not ebano.
With regard to limo, I also have that listed as 1520.

Hi there, i am a seller on ebay and not too familiar with bottega bags, but ive reliable suppliers and set of clients that WOULD NEVER buy fakes,
so i sell this bag to an ebayer and claimed its fake, i would bring it to the bottega in rodeo once i got it bag, she apparently submitted the bag to authorities in sf, so im waiting for the LA authorities to contact me but i dont mind because i feel that i have nothing to hide, anyways...please bottega experts...confirm this?

This bag style is from a few years ago. Can you provide a photo of the stamped name font inside the bag? Also it looks like it has an interior zipped pocket. Look on the back side of the zipper head and tell us what name you find there. What material is the lining?

The authenticity tag and hardware look real BV to me.

Thanks Boxermon and Baggiana! I have asked for a clearer picture for the leather label for the Limo Ball...but since the colour code doesn't match what you have, this may not be the real thing?!

No, but I do not have enough information to give you both thumbs up. I do not this color code. We both have 1520 for Limo, but sometimes there are different color codes for the same color - I have not heard of this for Limo. You may want to post a new thread in the BV subforum asking other owners of Limo BV bags if they could look at the authenticity tag and let you know what the last 4 numbers are. You might also ask if any has a Limo ball... and you might also ask if anyone knows what color 1569 is.

When things do not match up for me, I just look elsewhere for my next purchase, because I am loathe to be scammed again. If you feel that everything else is right when you get the additional photos, then maybe she is calling it Limo, and it is a different color. Good luck, and let us know what else you find!

boxermom, can you please take a look at this listing for me? I am unfamiliar with the bag, and I do not see the nameprint where I would expect it, or any tags. I have requested pics of both. What do you think?

This looks similar to the Dune style line from Resort 2007. The website has a hobo but whether they made this tote, I don't know. I agree--where is the font and the authenticity tag? Seller needs to provide those pics.

These eBay drop-off places always make me suspicious. The ones I've dealt with (trying to get them to take a bag to sell) give me no confidence at all. They denied several authentic bags from me yet often I see them listing fakes.

Not enough to say yes or no.

Seller needs to provide a clear photo of the stamped font. Also, if the bag is black, the color code should be 1000, and it's not.

Looking through seller's other listings, they all have inadequate photos and on the black bags, strange color codes (when you can even read the number).

Maybe there will be enough to say it's real BV, but it looks like they take consignment bags which may or may not be real; we don't know if they have been authenticated
