Hi all, I'm totally new to BV and after spending a lot of time browsing this forum, I didn't see anything like this. Other than the heat-stamped tag inside, there are no other tags. It's about 16 in. wide. Is this authentic? Thanks a bunch!

Sorry, but I cannot see anything, or find a link. Can you try to repost? Thanks!

No, Sharona, it is not authentic. The font used on the impressed stamp (heatstamp) is not correct, and neither are the zipper pulls (though they are close, they are not exactly the right shape or guage). I believe this to be a counterfeit Veneta-style. If real, it should have an authenticity tag sew into the seam of the zipper pocket for this style.

I do not know if you already own it, but let me assure you that my first purchase was a VERY expensive counterfeit bag (the famous Sloane-non-clone), and that has since prompted me to become more expert at identifying the real BV handbags - and reporting the counterfeits where I can. In fact, many of us here were conned with counterfeits when we first decided to purchase a BV. Because Bottega Veneta is subtle in marking their leather goods, it is difficult for novices to be sure, but the more you look and handle, the better you will become. If you do not own this handbag, do not purchase it! You may want to consult this forum before making any BV purchases, and I, for a fact, will not purchase any handbag with which I am unfamiliar without consulting the authenticate forums here. if you did purchase this recently, you may have a recourse if you used your credit card.

Thank you so much for your help! No, I did not purchase this bag. It was given to a friend and she wanted me to sell it on on ebay for her. I'm so glad I asked here first before listing it.
