Asian Nose Job 3

i just want everything to be as natural as possible, and not have to worry about implant failure down the line. do people need revisions years later?

banobagi seems very experienced and has good reviews, and they told me they would use cartilage i think. the review from ITEM, that person used silicone but it looked great and the doc seems really good. so stressful deciding! and, my time is limited

I hear ya! One ENT specialist told me that the body will usually try to reject foreign materials, such as silicone & goretex. He'd also seen plenty of shifted implants. I'd rather go through a longer healing process with costal cartilage than get an instant gratification nose that may cause future issues. But I'm concerned that I'll turn out like one of Dr. Toriumi's nightmare cases.

I'm really stressed out about this. My husband said I could either go by myself this year or wait until next year so he could be with me for 3-4 weeks. I'm too afraid to go by myself! I'd probably end up on the news: Drugged plastic surgery patient gone wild! She was last seen stumbling along the highway, shouting for pineapple!

LOL haha ure hilarious... im praying that one of my sisters will be able to come with me next year or else i will have to go it alone. quite scary thinking ill have to travel halfway across the world by myself.

For those of you considering eye surgery, where will you go? I'd like to have everything done at one clinic, but I haven't read a single review about eye surgery @ VIP.

I went to BK to do my eyelid revision, so did my sister and my mother (after they saw my eyes) ~ they turned out really natural lokoing, so not OTT big and deep! He is a good surgeon but people say he is very blunt, which is very true, but I lik that he doesnt sugar coat everything. He speaks very good English and he has nurses that speak good English too. Also he asks if you want deep or natural and also outer or inner fold etc. So hes good like that.

lol try emailing him again. if u send him a ton of emails hes bound to respond  when i was emailing him my reply's from him took no more than 2 or 3 days

2-3 days?! AISH ~ its been almost two weeks maybe from the first one and I have since sent like 2 more >__< I really want a reply because rib cartilage surgery is like really interesting me!! haha

Dont worry, I am still trying to convince my family to come with me but if not I shall keep you posted! Where you travelling from ?? I am in the UK !

Thanks for the great information! What was your recovery time? I'm trying to coordinate eye surgery + rhinoplasty. Is this a bad idea??

Reported silicone or goretex do had higher chances of revision due infection and shifting of silicone~ for naturally rib will be a good option.

yeah i just read about silicone. gore tex won't shift though, it's just harder to remove later if things change, right? i just don't want a scar on my chest. i got a recommendation from ITEM (yay, got the response!) for septal cartliage. i wonder if it would make my nose feel weird if i feel inside..

Has anyone heard of reputable plastic surgeons in Vietnam? Especially in Saigon. Vietnam is quickly becoming a developed country with lots of wealthy people with disposable income. Hmm
Hi.
I am going for double eyelid surgery on 27th Feb in Vietnam and possible
rhinoplasty. My vietnamese girlfriendis bringing me there. Will update you when
I get back to Singapore.

Yes. You are right. Goretex is hard to remove as the tissue grow within sheets and depend how many layers. Imagine you bandage/plaster your wound and remove it. It tear your skin right? Same to goretex, it tear your tissue when removed. And need time to heal. Goretex will shift unless it's silicone wrapped with goretex.

IMHO, silicone is like at material that will wear and tear one day~ that's why I totally opt out this. And goretex also~ foreign not welcomed to me. Self rib is my option is because of 100% DNA match to my body. Infection is not possible and is like 0% chances. Shifting is possible only like 3% chances consulted by dr hsu and dr kao and others. You may want to opt for donor rib if you want to. Septal cartilage is to lengthen your nose and tip but you still need support on the bridge using rib, silicone or goretex which ever material you choose.

wait, you say that goretex is harder to remove, yet it is also more prone to shifting? that doesn't add up. its probably harder for a surgeon to remove if they don't do it regularly (dr jung has said that it is easy for him to remove, but he probably uses goretex more than other surgeons), but it is not known for shifting easily.

goretex has a low infection rate

infection is possbile with rib cartilage, but the infection rate for rib cartilage is probably 1% or less
