Artsy and new canvas issues?

The peeling appears to be an issue on a totally I purchased secondhand The bag is from Sep 2014. Do you think I'll have issues when I bring the bag in since I'm not the original purchaser?

Wow...that's surprising. Never heard of it happening with other bags, so I don't know exactly how LV would treat the issue. Do you have a photo of the peeling? I would be interested to see, and maybe we can give better insight as well. Sorry this happened to you.

It disappears for a short time when I wipe it gently with a damp cloth with water. It's white and flaky. I can see it more when I rub the canvas up. It's very disappointing. I plan on going to LV on Saturday. I'll let you know what happens.

Here are pictures of the flakiness. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.View attachment 2955979View attachment 2955980

:faint: :wtf:

That looks awful. I would definitely bring the bag back to LV and ask for an exchange. Or store credit. I think they will take care of it for you. I also appreciate you posting some photos, and I'm so sorry this happened to your beautiful bag. I honestly don't know what to think. I thought the peeling was an isolated issue, that it had to do with the new Artsy canvas. I would hate to think this could be happening to other bags and people just aren't noticing.

And don't worry about not being the original purchaser. As long as the bag is authentic - which I'm only stating as a general note - LV will always accept it for repair/exchange, but of course to their discretion. So you shouldn't have any problems.

Please let us know the outcome. Good luck!

Okay, thanks. I really love the lightness of the totally which is why I purchased it, so, I'll ask for an exchange. I wonder also if people aren't noticing.
I will post again on Saturday to let you know the outcome. Thanks again.

I think if they elongated the strap, and reverted back to the original canvas, these issues would be rectified. Respectively, there would be a better drop length so the rim of the bag wouldn't ride up into the armpit (which we know causes cracking from deodorant), and the canvas would no longer flake.

The flaking on my totally bag is everywhere... Top, middle, bottom.
