Artsy and new canvas issues?

Yes indeed. When will they get this bag right!

Are you gonna return yours?

how can we let LV know that this issue is still not rectified? Anyone here know any higher-ups?

I don't think they're doing something about it. My SA said they already rectified this flaking/cracking issue but apparently, with all the photos posted here, seems like it's still a major issue that needs to be addressed.

I love this purse a lot so it really frustrates me seeing all these photos.. 😔

Oh yes I will definitely take it to the boutique sometime next week. I am very frustrated as well bcse it is such a beautiful bag. I bought it from trades brand new never used with original receipt so I should not have any problems getting an exchange. Do u think they would give me store credit if I don't want an exchange?

Anybody feel free to chime in!

I think if they elongated the strap, and reverted back to the original canvas, these issues would be rectified. Respectively, there would be a better drop length so the rim of the bag wouldn't ride up into the armpit (which we know causes cracking from deodorant), and the canvas would no longer flake.

At least now we have confirmation that this is indeed a universal issue, so hopefully LV will realize that it needs to be fixed.

Geez I thought issues with Artsy were over already. I've been holding off on this bag to see if all is well. Are there any issues with the DA Artsy?

DA doesn't seem to have this issue. It's isolated to mono canvas. Pretty sure DA Artsy still has the original canvas, not the new rubbery one. So you would be fine with that print :smile1:

Please give us an update on what they say! You shouldn't have any problem getting store credit (which I think is a smart idea) ;)

Your SA is either choosing to be oblivious or has a major listening problem... :btdh:

Sorry to sound peeved, but it irks me when SAs brush things off just because it's not their hard earned money buying the bag.

In any event, the flaking is completely independent of the cracking issue; they are two separate occurrences. Unfortunately, we just have to wait until Paris receives substantial word about the issue before they decide to fix it. I think this will eventually happen because numerous people are finding these flaking spots on their bags.

Are you going to exchange yours again? Honestly, I would opt for a store credit and keep it until they do fix it. Worse case scenario, you can choose something else that's not as temperamental as Artsy ;)

@Linene, what did you do then? Did you just return it? Or did you get another artsy?

I returned my first Artsy, and they gave me a new. That is, I chose one out of three they had in store at that time. And this was the only bag that did not have visible tendency of peeling. After two weeks my second Artsy went back to the store because of peeling...So now I'm stuck with a credit note. My deal with the store is to come and look at new ones when they get them in the store, but I have decided to let the Artsy go for now. I'm so sad, because I think this is the most beautiful bag in canvas from LV. I got it in Empreinte as well, but i love the look of canvas Monogram better

I could not agree more! I wonder if LV understand that they are two separate occurrences? And as I said in an earlier post, I question their customer complaint system. A good system and with trained personell, they would have discovered this early and done something with it a long time ago. My biggest fear is that instead of trying to fix this new problem with Artsy they discontinue this beautiful bag :pullhair:

Linene: this has crossed my mind, too. If they don't make some kind of improvement, I think the mono Artsy could very well be heading for bag heaven. Plus there have been rumors circulating about it being discontinued.
