Guys, maybe the flaking issue is due to a residue or something that's left over from the canvas process(?) It's not like an actual cracking. It just dawned on me. Or I'm just trying to make excuses so I can just get one and shut up about it...LOLLL

Maybe treat Artsy as if it has a skin condition, like psoriasis or something. Put a little lotion on it here and there to make the flakey breakouts disappear, then cleanse with a baby wipe.

Or not... cause its 1 AM here and I'm funny-tired. Don't judge. :cray:

^I hope so too! I hope it's not the protective coating that's flaking.. it's just frustrating.. I think there's no point of returning it every time I see some flaking because I will for sure get the same batch of canvas.. I hope LV rectifies this issue.. very soon.

Re: baby wipes, yes the flake will disappear but wiping it off will just worsen the already exposed areas.. imo.

I'm still hopeful though.. because I really love the artsy in mono.. she's for me the most beautiful of all..

So the one you currently have is still flaking?

We should do an experiment: maybe try wiping the flakes away with a damp cloth (I agree about not using baby wipes), and see if the flaking doesn't happen again in that same spot. I don't think plain water would cause any further detriment to the canvas ;)

^yes so sad it still has some flaking.. at the bottom corners/creases.. when I got it from the store, it was just one tiny bit in one corner and that's already the best piece in stock that day so I just took it... then when I checked it again yesterday, all corners are starting to flake again.. how about yours? let me know since yours is 3 wks newer than mine..

I don't wanna wipe it off as I want to see if it will get any worse in time... just glad my SA is so patient and nice with me.. I'm sure they will replace it again if it gets really worse..

I already returned mine the day I got it. It went straight back.

I hope they fix it soon, it's getting kind of ridiculous. I can't stop wanting this bag, like I've been tempted to just try another one and not scrutinize it so I can pretend that it's perfect and just move on... :giggles:
