Artsy and new canvas issues?

I have a 3rd Artsy because I really want this bag. Im semi obsessed with it 😂They are saying that they've NEVER seen anything like what is happening to my bags.. My first bag date was SD0125 and the second one was SD1105 and my new one is SD0115... All made in the US! I haven't noticed any peeling as of yet. However I will be watching closely and if anything else occurs Ill get the Sully..

Im so glad you left a reply to this thread Lovely1689! I'm - just as you - totally obsessed with this bag. I'm waiting for our local LV store to get more Artsy in stock, I will look at one more before I give it up. A friend of mine bought her just a month after my first one, and it's just fine. So there are some good ones out there..

Wow. I just ordered one in mono, and now I see this thread. Go figure.

I ordered mine from online because they didn't have any at my local store. I hope I don't get a defective one. I have wanted this bag for a while and finally decided to get it. So I hope this isn't an ongoing issue.

So the bags you looked at in-store ALL had the peeling problem? It must be a bad batch like someone else mentioned. But it makes me question the longevity of this new canvas they're using for the Artsy. I guess I will have to really scrutinize my bag when it gets delivered.

Hope you get a perfect one without any issues, and thanks for starting this thread. I might not have thought to check for this issue.

Dear luxurista, i looked at three new Artsy's and two of them had the same tendency. The third one looked ok, but the vachetta handle was not nice (lots of wrinkles...I'm quite picky :shame: )

I choose to believe that this is batch problems, and I will give it another try. My SA will call me as soon as they have some new ones in store.

Give us an update when you get yours, which hopefully will be flawless :heart:

Oh my gosh... that's awful! I'm so sorry about your experience with this bag, and I hope your SA finds you one that you're happy with. It's okay to be picky, you have to be happy with these purchases. I try not to let little things bother me, like alignment, for example, because no bag is 100% perfect. But I don't like super-wrinkly vachetta either, so I understand what you mean.

My bag is on it's way, so I will be getting it this afternoon. I will thoroughly check it for the peeling issue and I will report back.
 
Just got my package from fedex. I looked my bag over, and one of the corners is slightly starting to peel. Look:

I'm extremely disappointed. But at the same time, I'm relieved to be informed of the issue. So my bag is going straight back. I'm not even considering an exchange - this is clearly a bad batch of canvas.
 
Yes, I purchased from their website and the bag just arrived today. I returned it to my local store already. I hate to do returns but this is just unacceptable for the price point. My SA was very sweet and accommodating, she took it back without question and offered an apology. She also said she knew nothing about the peeling issue, and that she would let me know if others have the same problem. I really LOVE this bag - but it's a shame that it has all of these issues.

If I were you I would buy one from a store so you can make sure you don't get a faulty one and also I would try to find a preloved one that's in good condition...

They did not have it in stock when I went to purchase it, so that's why I ordered online. The OP of this thread looked at 3 different ones in-store and they were all faulty, accept one that had an overly wrinkled handle. This is just a bad batch of canvas. I have ordered online many times and have never had an issue. I also do not buy pre-loved.
