I got it exchange for the same bag again. Also corporate contact me and said if it ever happens again they will exchange it. Plus I think it's all the new canvas cause I saw some in the store that was peeling.

Ok well I took the delitghtful mm back due to the canvas peeling and they exchanged for a new one, but they don't have the old style I had so I had to get the new style. I liked the old one better it seemed more durable and was bigger, this one isn't as big. I had to cut my base shaper down to fit it. So now I'm sad and miss my old one lol!!!

I bought an Artsy Nov 2014, after 4 months it had the exact peeling type look in your pic... All over the bag!! I took it in and the manager said she has seen this one other time on the Artsy.
I was given a new bag and guess what's happening AGAIN on this bag?! I'll be going back in to show them again. Very frustrating because I love the Artsy but something went wrong somewhere & it makes the purse look fake & cheap. :(

I also have the same issue..
I bought mine in June 2015. Do you think they will accept the return now?
This is a known issue to LV and affects not only the Artsy, but several models made from the monogram canvas over the last year and a half such as the Totallys and Delightfuls. I would personally take it into the store and see what they have to say; most likely they will replace and if that's the case then consider staying away from the mono pieces until LV gets the problem resolved. So far the Damier's are unaffected as well as the leather pieces. Best of luck!

Wonderful suggestion Miss Krys. This is why I have decided to wait until next year to get the Sully MM. I'm hoping they'll have gotten the canvas issue together by then. Any speculation on why this doesn't appear to be happening with other types of monogram bags such as the Pochette Metis or the Favorite? Very strange.

I had a totally and it peeled before I even used it. It's a completely different feeling canvas than the pochette Metis and favorite (I have both of them, too lol). It was not as shiny and had a rubbery feel to it. I think because it is supposed to be a more supple slouchy canvas. The delightful, artsy and totally are not meant to be structured bags. It's funny because you would think the Metis hobo and artsy would be the same but they weren't either. When I bought my Metis hobo in February I looked at the artsy also and noticed the different feel. I was told by an SA when I returned the totally that different canvases have different purposes and the same canvas is not used on all. I am relatively new to LV so I really don't know what's 100% fact or what is just SA talk. I'm just passing on my experiences :) I can say in 2015 I purchased a Metis hobo, favorite mm mono, neverfull mon mono, clemence, key pouch, totally, and pochette Metis all mono canvas, but have only had bad luck with the totally. I And it was so soft and different than the others, and I wish I could have kept it [emoji20]

I can only assume that the issue lays with the softer and more pliable canvas used in those models I mentioned, but because the PM, Favourite, wallets, etc. use a stiffer canvas as per their more structured designs they seem to be exempt. I don't know why the Damier's, even the soft canvas ones, aren't having the peeling problem though:thinking:

Hmmm. I can see how this could be the case. What's still baffling is that the Sully had been out since 2012...not sure how long the Artsy had been out, but it seems like the issue is happening with the newer bags. I wonder what made them change canvas sincen it appears the older bags are holding up pretty well.

I sure hope the issue is resolved by spring of next year. I'm a hobo girl and really love this bag. The only reason I got the delightful MM in DE first was because of the great price point and I didn't want to worry about the Vachetta handle during the winter.

It had to do with the cracking problems they were having before. So they "reformulated" the canvas, I was told. She said mid 2014 if I remember right.

And now that they've softened up the canvas to combat that cracking they have now have peeling which isn't repairable either. I'm dying for a Sully MM and want to snap one up before the price increases get more out of hand then they already are, but I'm going to wait at least another year or so until LV perfects their new canvas formula.
